Thermostat - removal and



1. The thermostat is mounted in front of the suction manifold 4-cylinder engines, or in the front right side of the engine (V6).
2. Drain the coolant.

3. Remove the air filter and the upper radiator hose.
4. Remove the cover bolts of the thermostat.
5. Remove the thermostat, pay attention to its orientation (photo).
6. Carefully remove the old seal.
7. On the thermostat cover, apply a thin bead of silicone sealant.
8. Place the gasket on the cover.
9. Set the thermostat (photo), the lid, put the terminal wires of connection with weight and tighten bolts.
10. Install all the parts, fill fluid, and without closing the radiator cap, warm up the engine. Add a liquid and secure the stopper.
The V6 engine
11. Remove the fan casing and belts mounted units. Raise the vehicle.
12. Disconnect the hose from the bottom of the nozzle, by undoing the bracket bolt and loosen the clamp.
13. Loosen the clamp and remove the second tube
14. Remove the screws and remove the cover (see photo).

15. Remove the thermostat, pay attention to its location, and remove the seal.
16. Set the thermostat spring in the direction of the motor.
17. Establish a lining, brushing sealant, put the cover (photo) and tighten the bolts.
18. Install the remaining parts, pour the liquid, warm up the engine and check for leaks.
