Engine removed from the car

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the alternator drive belt and the top cover Timing (see. Subsection 2.2.3.1).
2. Remove the cylinder head cover.
3. Disconnect the conductive bus of glow plugs and unscrew candles.
4. Clear gasoline toplivoprivody attachment points to the high pressure fuel pump and injectors and to remove them. Toplivoprivody can not bend or change shape.
5. Remove the nozzle.
6. Remove the inlet pipe and the exhaust manifold.
7. Set the first cylinder in the TDC (see. Subsection 2.2.3.1).
8. Loosen the belt tension and remove the camshaft drive belt from the camshaft gear (see. Subsection 2.2.3.1).
A warning

After the belt has been removed camshaft drive, you can not rotate the crankshaft, camshaft and intermediate shaft.

9. If the engine is fitted cap completely covering the camshaft drive, you need to remove the gear 15 (see. Fig. Details camshaft drive) of the fuel pump, the pump 13, an arm pump 14, a cam gear and the rear cover 21.
10. Special key unscrew the bolts of the cylinder head. Turn away bolts evenly in the reverse order shown in Fig. Tightening bolts of the cylinder head.
11. Remove the cylinder head and head gasket. If the head unit "become attached" to the unit, you can not score between the head and block a screwdriver or any tool, as this may damage the surface of the head. We need a little knock with a hammer through a wooden lining on the head unit.
12. After inspection and replacement of damaged and worn parts installation head unit in the reverse order. Thus it is necessary to replace the head gasket and cylinder head cover and head bolts. The spare parts supply three head gasket differing thickness. In order to distinguish pads attached to them the part number, and are made of one, two or three cut-out as shown in Fig. Cylinder head gasket. The thickness of the pads, which must be installed on the engine, determined protruding above the plane of the pistons in the cylinder TDC. Install the gasket should be the same thickness as that of the old lining. Beginning in September 1995 set the gasket, which has an additional hole with a diameter of 16 mm between the 1st and 2nd cylinders.
13. If the measured piston projection are obtained different values, you need to select the gasket at the large value of the piston protrusion.
14. To facilitate the installation of a normal head of the block need to make the guide pins of the old head bolts. Two screws to chop off the head and cut a slot screwdriver. These pins before installing the screw head in the extreme opening block from the intake pipe.
15. Tighten head bolts in the sequence shown in Fig. Tightening bolts of the cylinder head, in three stages:
- Stage 1 - 40 N ? m (4.0 kgf ? m);
- Stage 2 - 60 Nm (6.0 kgf-m);
- Stage 3 - tighten further on a half-turn (180 ?).
16. After assembly to start and warm up the engine (the oil temperature is not lower than 50 ? C). Tighten head bolts for another quarter of a turn (90 ?).
17. After 1000 km of run again tighten the head bolts a quarter turn (90 ?) (except engines mod. 1V).

The engine is mounted on the vehicle

If necessary, replace the cylinder head gaskets, valve grinding, cleaning soot and so on. D. You can remove the head of the unit, without removing the engine from the car. Do not remove the head on the hot engine (coolant temperature above 40 ? C).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
2. Drain the engine cooling system (see. Subsection 2.4.1).
3. Disconnect water hoses from cylinder head.
4. Remove the air duct from the air filter to the intake manifold or the turbocharger.
5. Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.
6. Disconnect the electrical wires from the valve shuts off the fuel from the glow plug, oil pressure and coolant temperature sensor.
7. Remove the spark plugs.
8. Clean and remove toplivoprivody injectors and high-pressure pump.
9. Remove the nozzle. Then the sequence is the same as when the engine has been removed from the vehicle (see.
