Tightening bolts of the cylinder head

Engine removed from the car

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the bolt adjusting lath of the generator to a block head.
2. Remove the top cover 8 (see. Fig. Camshaft drive) Timing.
3. Remove the cover 5 (see. Fig. The cylinder head) cylinder head and gasket 4.
4. Remove the inlet pipe and the exhaust manifold.
5. Rotate the crankshaft so that the piston of the first cylinder was established in TDC compression stroke, with both valves closed. The label on a camshaft cogwheel should coincide with a label on the cylinder head, as shown in Fig. Adjust the belt camshaft drive. Then turn the crankshaft a quarter turn counter-clockwise, so that none of the pistons was not in TDC.
6. Loosen the belt tension 3. For this Loosen three bolts of 1 fastening of the water pump and turn the pump to the engine block.
7. Remove the belt from the camshaft gear.
8. Remove bolts 11 (see. Fig. The cylinder head) cylinder head. Turn away bolts evenly in the reverse order shown in Fig. Tightening bolts of the cylinder head.
9. Remove the cylinder head.
10. Remove the gasket 1 (see. Fig. The cylinder head) of the head unit.
11. After inspection and replacement of damaged and worn parts installation of the cylinder head in the reverse order. Thus it is necessary to replace the cylinder head gasket 1 and the cylinder head cover 5. 1 cylinder head gasket is put on the surface of the cylinder up words ?OBEN-TOP?.
12. Before you put the belt camshaft drive, install the camshaft, and then the crankshaft at TDC.
13. Tighten the cylinder head in the order shown in Fig. Tightening bolts of the cylinder head in four stages:
1st stage 40 Nm (4.0 kgf-m);
2nd stage 60 Nm (6.0 kgf-m);
3rd stage further tighten a quarter turn (90 ?);
4th stage further tighten a quarter turn (90 ?).
A warning

Tighten head bolts can be only in a cold engine.

14. After the installation of the cylinder head to check and, if necessary, to adjust the ignition and the clearances in the valve mechanism.

The engine is mounted on the vehicle

When replacing the valve or lapping, cleaning of soot in the combustion chambers, the replacement head gaskets, etc. You can remove the head of the unit, without removing the engine from the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
2. Drain the engine cooling system (see. Subsection 2.4.1).
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Remove the spring clips and remove from the exhaust manifold exhaust front pipe.
5. Remove the high voltage wires and unscrew candles.
6. Disconnect all wiring, cables and hoses that are suitable to the head unit.
7. Next, the sequence is the same as when the engine has been removed from the vehicle (see.
