Sprayers

Nozzle
Fig. 3.23. Nozzle: 1 - fitting for the drain line; 2 - an adjusting washer; 3 - spring sprayer; 4 - nozzle body; 5 - nozzle needle

The nozzles are spring-loaded mechanical valves (Fig. 3.23), which open when the pressure of fuel supplied to them exceeds a certain limit. Thus, fuel is sprayed from the spray nozzle into the cylinder through the swirl chamber (indirect injection). On AAZ engine mounted two-stage nozzle, which open in two stages with increasing fuel pressure, which optimizes fuel combustion in the engine.

A WARNING
When using fuel injectors, be very careful, because the fuel under high operating pressure can penetrate the skin, which can lead to injury.

Depending on the quality of fuel used, the resource of the nozzles is about 100 000 km. Precise checking, overhaul and calibration of the injectors must be performed by a specialist. To troubleshoot without dismantling the nozzle (injector failure can cause smoke or increased detonation engine), start the engine in the fast idle speed and in turn hold the nozzle of each injector. When you release the nipple defective nozzles, the Symptoms should disappear.
Removal and installation of injectors carried out as follows:
- Disconnect the battery from the electrical system of the car, eliminate the possibility of getting to the generator of diesel, covering it with polyethylene;
- Clean the area around the nozzles and fittings fuel lines;
- Disconnect from the nozzles drain the fuel line;

A WARNING
When removing and installing the fuel injectors, be careful - do not let dirt in the injector and fuel lines, eliminate accidental fall or damage the needle in the nebulizer. The nozzles are manufactured with high precision and must be handled carefully.

- Lift the fuel injection line, then close the injector nozzles and pipes to prevent contaminants entering the system;
- Remove the nozzle using a long socket wrench or box wrench;
- Remove the heat-shielding washers.
Installation is carried out in the manner of nozzles. return to removal. Each removal / installation by the manufacturer recommended replacement of heat-shielding washers.
