Removal and installation of the case shift lever



The shift lever is mounted in the housing. The body gear must be removed when replacing the control cable.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On engines 1,8- / 1,9- / 2,3-I remove the bracket supporting the control cable from the gearbox.
2. Starting from the back, remove the protective cover of the gear lever and move it up by the handle (arrows indicate the place of origin removing the protective cover of the lever of a gear change).
3. Release the lock (arrow) and remove the shift knob with protective cover.
4. At the bottom of the gear lever, remove sound insulation.
5. Disconnect a reception exhaust pipe and the middle silencer. Remove the body of the crossmember support the exhaust system and lower it down.
6. Unscrew thermofilter under the gear lever.
7. Remove the nuts gear lever (indicated by arrows).
8. Under the car unscrew the two bolts that hold the gear lever.
9. Lower the body down the gear lever and detach the cable.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following points.
2. If the damaged seal between the gear lever and the body, it must be replaced.
3. Housing Bolts gear lever tighten to 25 Nm.
4. Install and adjust the position of the exhaust system.
5. Adjust the shift cable.
