Removing and installing steering wheel
The steering wheel with four spokes
1 - the steering wheel;
2 - an electric socket;
3 - retaining brackets. Release of the locking bracket is made
the reverse side of the steering wheel;
4 - airbag. Airbag and steering wheel must be the same type and manufacturer; | 5 - a bolt, 75 Nm;
6 - a bolt with corrugated recess turnkey 60 Nm. The bolt has a protective coating and can be set no more than five times;
7 - a plate;
8 - a return slip ring;
10 - lock |
Elements of the steering wheel with four spokes
1 - the steering wheel;
2 - a bolt with corrugated deepening on a key 60 Nm.
Bolt has a protective cover and can
used up to five times;
3 - screw Torx;
4 - damper. Vibration damper is installed only on vehicles with diesel TDI engine and an automatic transmission; | 5 - screw Torx, 5 Nm;
6 - airbag;
7 - mounting plate;

Withdrawal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Remove the air bag to the central part of the steering wheel. | | 2. Establish forward wheels for movement directly forward. Thus the steering wheel should be in the middle position. | | 3. Unscrew the central bolt of the steering wheel and remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft. |

Setting
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Set the steering wheel to the steering shaft splines so that the marks on the steering wheel and the steering shaft are aligned. When installing the steering wheel front wheels must be set to rectilinear motion, and turns the switch must be in the neutral position. | | 2. Secure the steering wheel bolt with corrugated deepening on a key and tighten it to 60 Nm. | | 3. Punch punch lock the steering wheel bolt from unscrewing. | | 4. Spend a control trip. | | 5. When the vehicle is moving in a straight line steering wheel spokes must be in a horizontal position. | | 6. Otherwise, remove the steering wheel and move it during installation in the appropriate direction. Check and adjust the wheel alignment. | | 7. Check the operation of the audio signal and turns the switch automatically return to the neutral position after cornering. |
