Tips of steering drafts should have no play. If there is damage to their protective covers should be replaced immediately. Replacement tips of steering drafts can be performed without removing the steering gear.
Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Loosen the bolts of the front wheel, then lift the front of the car and fix on supports. | 2. Remove the front wheel. | 3. Unscrew the nut of the spherical rod end, with the hinge pin from turning hold the Allen wrench. | | 4. Screw the nut until snug, but do not unscrew completely, while it will serve as a focus for the stripper (1 - an electric socket of the sensor ABS, A - puller Ball joint). | 5. Disconnect an electric socket of the gauge ABS. | 6. Using a stripper of spherical hinges, remove the ball joint tie rod from the steering knuckle. | 7. Loosen the lock nut 2 (see. Fig. Steering transfer), locking tie rod relative to the tie rod end. | 8. Remove the tie rod end from steering draft, thus count the number of revolutions of the tie rod. |
|
Setting
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Screw the tie rod on the tie rod on the same number of turns as when unscrewing. | 2. Tighten the lock nut 2 (see. Fig. Steering transfer) by hand. | 3. Insert the ball rod end to the knuckle and secure with the new self-locking nut, tightening it to 45 Nm. When tightening the nut hold the hinge pin from turning Allen key. | 4. Tighten the lock nut to 50 Nm. | 5. Connect the sensor electrical connector ABS. | 6. Install the wheel and secure it with screws. | 7. Lower the car to the ground and tighten the bolts to 120 Nm. | 8. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. |
