The five-cylinder engine

Disconnecting the water pump pulley on the engine 2,3-I-VR5

3787 - a special device to hold the pulley

A warning

Basic operations on removal and installation of the water pump are set out in Section 3.6.1.1 and Section 3.6.1.2. This section sets out only the operations relating to the engine 2,3-I-VR5.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the screws (1) holding the belt pulley (2) of the water pump. At the same time, use the special tool to hold the water pump pulley from turning.

2. Remove the three screws and remove water pump.

3. When installing the water pump plug on the pump housing must be below.
