Removal and installation of a flywheel (cars with manual gearbox)



To remove the flywheel from the crankshaft lock it lock stationary and unscrew bolts of a flywheel that can be immediately discarded because their repeated use is prohibited.
Check the condition of the ring gear in the event of damage to replace the flywheel teeth with a crown. It will be checked and a starter gear tooth, since they too may be worn.
If the flywheel has scratches or burrs on the supporting surface of the clutch plate, then remove their groove. Flywheel dismantled on installed engine after removing the gearbox. This necessarily check for leaks if the engine oil through the crankshaft rear oil seal. In the case of leakage, replace the packing.
When installing the flywheel bolts tighten first by hand and then tighten them one at a crosswise torque of 60 Nm and then tighten evenly crosswise each bolt another 90 ?�.
