Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Loosen the wheel bolts on the car standing on wheels.
2. Mark a paint position of the disc on the wheel hub to balance the wheel again to establish in its place.
3. Set the machine on the box (jack) and remove the wheel.

A warning

If the brake pads will be installed again, before removing their need to mark. Brake pad replacement from outside to inside and vice versa, and from the right to the left wheel unacceptable. Substitution can result in uneven braking effect. It is recommended to use brake pads that are allowed only for the machine. It is necessary to replace simultaneously all brake pads of disc brakes, even if only one block has reached its wear.

4. Unscrew the lower screw fastening brake housing while holding the guide pin spanner.
5. Fold up the body of the brake mechanism. Remove the brake pads.

Setting

A warning

When removing the brake pads squeeze the brake pedal: otherwise the piston will be forced out of the cylinder body. If the piston is forced out through an oversight, install it again. In the hydraulic system must not penetrate the mud. Then, let the air out of the brake system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean with a soft wire brush guide surface and the installation pad in the shaft housing or wipe with a cloth soaked in gasoline. Do not use solvent-containing mineral oils from sharp instruments.
2. Before installing the pad should be investigated to touch the brake disc for grooves. The furrows can be ottortsovany (factory), if they do have a sufficient thickness. Trimming both rotors always paying attention to an adequate allowance for wear and tear. If one brake disk will be notified, then the second and should be adjusted likewise.
3. Measure the thickness of the brake discs (see. Subsection 7.5).
4. Check for cuts in the dust cap. Replace damaged, as penetrated dirt quickly lead to depressurization of the brake, then the brake mechanism (saddle) requires removal and disassembly (factory work).
5. Press in the piston back zapressovochnym device. This can be done also handle hammer hardwood. Thus to pay special attention to the fact that the piston has been cocked, and is not damaged surface of the piston and not be damaged dust cap.

A warning

When pressing the piston brake fluid from the brake cylinder is pressed in a broad tank. Watch the liquid in the tank, if necessary suck excess rubber bulb.

6. For suction can be used to bleed air balloon or a plastic bottle with a pacifier, which is in contact only with the brake fluid. Do not use drinking bottle! Brake fluid is poisonous and in any case should not be absorbed through the mouth tube. Use a rubber bulb.
7. After replacing the brake pads mark "Max" on the expansion tank should not be exceeded, since the liquid expands when heated. Leaking brake fluid flow down to the master cylinder, and damage the paint will cause corrosion.

A warning

If a strong brake pad wear check up ease of a piston stroke. To do this, insert a wooden brake rod with help slowly press the brake pedal. The piston must be free to be pressed and squeezed. To check, you must install a new brake. Pay attention to the fact that the piston does not come out at all. When the piston is difficult to be repaired during the brakes.

8. Install the two brake pads into the brake support. Pay attention to the fact that press springs stood up evenly and parallel to the upper edge of the pad.
9. Lower the body down the brake and secure the brake support a new self-locking screw to 35 Nm while holding the guide pin.

A warning

Each set of pads for the VW repair brakes self-locking screw is used for fixing the housing of the brake mechanism. These screws must be installed always.

10. Screw the wheel, paying attention to the markings. Remove the machine from the box (jack) and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise torque of 160 Nm.

A warning

Squeeze in place strong and the brake pedal repeatedly until tangible resistance. This is carried out centering the brake pads, which take place corresponding to their working position.

11. Check brake fluid level in the expansion tank, if necessary, top up to the mark "Max".
12. New brake pads grind carefully, for this many times to slow down the car with about 80 km / h to 40 km / h with little effort on the brake pedal, allowing the brakes to cool between braking.

A warning

Earlier than 200 km can not, without the need to make rapid and complete inhibition.
