Dynamic control of the oil pressure

VW T4 is equipped with a dynamic control of the oil pressure. This means that the oil pressure control is carried out depending on the number of revolutions of the engine.

If the engine speed drops below 2000 rev / min, while falling oil pressure and at a pressure below 0.3 bar on the instrument panel warning light flashes of oil pressure. At engine speeds above 2000 r / min, oil pressure should be at least 1.8 bar (0.9 bar diesel engine), otherwise re-flashing warning light and a beep sounds.

If the warning light flashes of oil pressure while driving and his second audio signal, this may have the following causes:

1. Oil level too low.
2. Faulty wiring pay-offs to the warning lights.
3. Faulty oil pump.
4. broke down the main bearings of the crankshaft.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. First of all, you should immediately switch off the engine and check the oil level and top up if necessary. Then, start the engine and let it idle, flashing warning light does not have to. To raise above 2000 revs / min, the light flashes and the buzzer should not be silent. You can continue to move.
2. If the oil level is normal and is not currently available nor any other opportunities to test, in any case not to proceed and take the car in tow, then check the oil pressure.
3. If sufficient oil pressure, check both the oil pressure sensor and wiring according to the diagram. If the fault is not found, replace the relay control of the oil pressure.
