Repair rear wheel brake caliper



The order of execution of repair works is as follows:
1) Preparation:
- Disconnect the inner cable from the parking brake handle;
- Remove the wheel;
- Thoroughly clean the caliper;
2) Drain the brake fluid:
- Remove the cap from the drain fitting, pull on his pipe, the other end lower in the capacity to collect the brake fluid, and turning away, open choke;
- Lock the brake pedal in the down position by the holder. Collect exiting the brake fluid into a container.
3) Remove the rear caliper assembly:

- Disconnect the brake hose 4 (Fig. 6.13) from the caliper;
- Remove the screws 2 of the caliper guide pin;
- Remove the brake caliper 3 from the holder and remove the brake pads;
- Disconnect the cable from a support 1 hand brake, pulling the rubber cover pre-cable;
- Drain the brake fluid residues.
4) Disassemble the support:
- Remove the piston 2 with its cover 1, twisting it counterclockwise out of the caliper;
- Carefully remove the sealing ring from the cylinder 4 so as not to damage the edges of the grooves; Remove the drain fitting 6;
5) Clean and inspect carriage:
- Wash items with alcohol;
- Check for wear, damage, cracks and rust. If necessary, replace parts;
- Be sure to replace the O-ring 4 and collar Dirt 3;
- Carefully clean the channels and grooves for O-rings and cuffs Dirt. In the presence of the cylinder scratches or scratches, replace the caliper assembly. Small deposits of rust, remove fine sandpaper;
6) Assemble the saddle:
- Blow compressed air parts;
- Lubricate the brake fluid surface of the cylinder liner, the piston and a new sealing ring;
- Put the O-ring into the cylinder, the piston sleeve Dirt; Dirt piston sleeve in the cylinder;
- Carefully press the piston into the cylinder until it touches the nut and screw and screw clockwise;
- Make sure that the cuff is 3 Dirt fell into place.
- Screw the drain fitting 6;
- Check the condition of a support and guide the brake disc;
- Put the brake pads;
- Mount the parking brake cable;
- Establish a support on the bracket and tighten the two screws 2 (see. Fig. 6.13) to 33 N ?� m;
- Connect the brake hose 4, using new seals. Tighten to 29 Nm. Make sure that the brake hose is not kinked;
- Bleed the brake system and tighten drain fitting 5 N ?� m;
- Install the wheel.
- Press several times on the brake pedal, check the level in the brake fluid reservoir and the adjustment of the parking brake;
- Check the pressure in the brake and clutch systems and, if necessary, making sure there are no leaks, pump;
- Put the protective cover of the connector.
