Replacement of the parking brake



In preparation for the replacement of the elements necessary to turn off the ignition, remove the tray ware, rubber pad, unscrew three screws and remove the back of the console.
Work to replace the drive elements should be made in the following order:
1) Remove the parking brake lever:

- Remove connector 3 parking brake switch (Fig. 6.17);
- Remove the screws 2 and 4 bracket hand brake handle;
- Remove the central cable with rocker 1;
- Remove the parking brake lever;
2) Replacement of the central parking brake cable:
- Unscrew the adjusting nut and remove the retainer;
- Bend the tab from the bottom;
- Remove the central wire;
- Establish new central cable so that the upper part of the cable is vertically installed at the handle;
- Bend the tab back and put a retainer nut;
3) replacement of the parking brake lever sleeve:
- Hold the handle in a vice;
- Gently retract the sleeve with handle. If necessary, heat the bush fan heater;
4) setting the parking brake lever:
- Fix the central parking brake cable on the balance 1 (see. Fig. 6.17);
- Put the hand brake lever and tighten the screws 2 and 4. Tightening torque 25 Nm;
- Connect the 3;
5) replacement of the parking brake switch:
- Pull the parking brake handle, so she did not close the switch;
- Remove the screw and remove the switch;
- Put the new switch;
- Tighten the screw to 27 Nm;
- Check the brake;
6) disconnect the parking brake cable inside the vehicle:

- Set the handle 1 (fig. 6.18) parking brake to the bottom position and press the parking brake cable;
- Remove the cable end with the rocker 2. To remove the right cable, first remove the cable of the left;

- Remove the rear seat;
- Pull molding rear threshold and raise the floor;
- Remove the lock of the cable and pass the cable through the eye back;
7) removal of the parking brake cable under the car:
- Remove the mudguard (left when removing the cable).
- Remove the cable from the body and suspension;
- Remove the cable from the holder on the brake caliper and disconnect the inner cable from the lever;
- Free cable forward and remove it together with the bush from the vehicle;
8) setting the parking brake cable under the car:
- Skip the parking brake cable through the hole in the floor and put the sleeve;
- Connect the parking brake cable to the caliper;
- Fix the cable to the front of the body with the help of the holder;
- Connect the inner cable to the arm support and slide the outer cable holder;
- Secure the parking brake cable in the holders;
- Put the mudguard (when replacing the left rope);
9) setting the parking brake cable inside the vehicle:
- Skip the parking brake cable through the bracket and under the floor in advance;
- Pass the inner cable through the eyelet and pass the outer cable holder handle parking brake;
- Secure the inner cable (s) to the holder;
- Replace the rear bracket. Tighten 25 N ?� m;
- Check the position of the sleeve;
- Lay the flooring and put molding threshold;
- Replace the rear seat. Tighten the fasteners to 25 N ?� m;
10) Adjusting the parking brake (see. In Sect. "Replacing the brake pads of the rear wheels").
