Control MIL is illuminated in the presence of faults in the engine control system and automatic transmission. However, the MIL is not illuminate after three starts of the engine if the fault is fixed before is no longer there. After turning on the ignition (to start the engine) warning lamp stays on, indicating that the normal operation of the system fault diagnosis.

The warning lamp lights up when a fault in the system the following elements:

- The transmission fluid temperature sensor
- A pulse generator (A-PG);
- The pulse generator B (PG-B);
- A switching solenoid valve (SCSV-A);
- Switching solenoid valve B (SCSV-B);
- Switching solenoid valve C (SCSV-C);
- Pressure control solenoid valve A (PCSV-A);
- Solenoid valve pressure regulation (PCSV-B);
- Damper clutch solenoid valve (DCCSV);
- Synchronization switching;
- The ignition pulse;
- The throttle position sensor;
- Switch operating modes of transmission;
- Damage to the converter line.
