Running the engine after repair

Install the engine on the stand, let him check out: - The absence of a leak of coolant or fuel between mating parts and pipe connections; - Oil pressure and the absence of leakage of oil through the pads; - Installation of the moment of ignition; - Speed at idle; - Tightness of the power supply system in the engine compartment. If you find extraneous knocks or malfunction, stop the engine, remove them, and then proceed with the test. If oil leaks through the gasket between the oil pan and the cylinder block tighten the bolts specified torque. If the leak does not stop, check the gasket and replace it if necessary. If oil leaks through the gasket between the cylinder head cover and the head unit, check the gasket and rubber plugs on the end face of the cylinder head. If necessary, replace the gasket and plugs, following the recommendations contained in the "engine assembly". After repair of the engine observe a mode of operation for the period running-working surfaces of new parts. This applies particularly to the engines, which were replaced by the pistons, bearings and connecting rod crankshaft bearing, reground crankshaft journals, othoningovany cylinders. Therefore, during the running of the engine on the car repaired or subject it to maximum loads. Running the engine must be carried out to meet the speeds and loads, which are recommended for vehicle break-in period.
