The general sequence of disassembly of the engine



1. The easiest way to disassemble the engine and carry out all types of work on a portable stand. Before removing the engine on the stand is necessary to remove the flywheel and clutch cover with the driven disc.
2. If you stand there, you can disassemble the engine, strengthening it on a sturdy bench or floor. When disassembling the engine without the stand should be particularly careful.
3. If the engine is supposed to put into repair, it is first necessary to remove all hinged units and equipment to establish them subsequently precisely in the same manner as at independent major repairs.
These units include:
- Generator and its mounting brackets;
- Elements of the emission control;
- The distributor of ignition, a candle and high-voltage wires of the ignition system;
- Thermostat with housing;
- The water pump;
- The elements of the power system;
- Inlet and exhaust manifolds;
- oil filter;
- fuel pump;
- Suspension elements (support) of the engine;
- Flywheel with clutch cover and drive plate.

NOTE
When removing from the engine of hinged units Pay special attention to those items that might be needed when removing the engine or auxiliary installation. Put labels on linings, gaskets, spacers, shafts, washers, nuts and other parts to fix them into position.

4. If the block of cylinders of an incomplete complete set, ie engine block with established crank mechanism and piston group, you should also remove the cylinder head, oil sump and the oil pump. The list of details subject to removal is determined by the accepted variant of repair.
5. If you plan to carry out a complete overhaul, it is necessary to completely disassemble the engine and remove the items in the following order:
- The cover of a gear belt of a camshaft;
- toothed belt;
- The cylinder head cover;
- Front and rear engine covers;
- Cylinder head and camshaft;
- Oil pan;
- oil pump;
- Connecting rod and piston group;
- crankshaft.
6. Before dismantling and performance of procedures of major repairs will need the following tools and equipment:
- A standard set of tools;
- Small plastic cash or plastic bags for storage of parts;
- Spatula or scraper to remove residual gasket;
- Scan for holes;
- Shock stripper;
- micrometer;
- Dial indicator with mounting elements;
- The adaptation for compression of springs;
- A device for honing cylinders;
- Tool for cleaning grooves for piston rings;
- electric drill;
- A set of taps and dies;
- Wire brushes (hard and soft);
- solvent.
