  1. Loosen the belt tension and remove the belt from the pump pulley (Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance).
  2. Using a syringe aspirate from the reservoir system hydrostrengthening steering possible more fluid. Place a container under the drain pump and disconnect the high-pressure and return hydraulic lines. To improve access to the return line hose may need to remove the cover of the air cleaner (Chapter power supply system and exhaust). Plug the open ends of the lines to prevent leakage of liquid and hit in dirt system.

Couplings pipes and hoses hydraulic pump lines.

  1. Give fixing bolts front and rear mounting bolts and nuts, and then remove the pump from the engine.

To remove the pump pulley system hydrostrengthening wheel puller this design is available - ask in shops of automobile accessories.

  1. To fit the pulley onto the shaft of the pump is also available a special tool, but this time from a long bolts, nuts, washers and a replaceable head end of the same, that the hub of the pulley diameter can be self-made equivalent. Tighten the pulley onto the shaft so that the shaft protrudes above its hub to the same value as before dismantling.
  1. For putting the pulley on the shaft of the pump is also available a special tool, but ...

... This time it is possible to make a replacement, for taking this long bolt with the same thread pitch as the thread at the end of the pump shaft, nut, washer, and a replaceable head end of the same outer diameter as the hub shaft.

  1. Install in reverse order. Upon completion, be sure to bleed the system hydrostrengthening steering (Section Bleeding hydrostrengthening steering system).
