System of pressurisation with changeable length of an inlet path (engine FE-DOHC)
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Attach the tachometer to the diagnosis connector. | 2. Let the engine warm up to normal operating temperature and allow to work in an idling mode. | 3. Make sure that the shut-off valve actuator rod is extended. | | 4. Gradually increase the speed of the crankshaft of the engine to 5000 min -1, and make sure the check valve actuator rod retracts at 5000 min -1. |
| Checking drive check valve
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the drive and connect the vacuum pump. | | 2. Create a vacuum and make sure that the rod is pulled into the drive at a vacuum of 200 mm Hg |
| Check the solenoid valve
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the hose from the solenoid valve. | | 2. Make sure that the air flows in the direction of the hose "A" to "B". | 3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the valve and apply a positive voltage from the battery. | | 4. Make sure that the air passes through the hose "A" to the air filter as shown in the figure. |
| Voltage test on the solenoid valve
PERFORMANCE ORDER | Check the voltage on the solenoid valve of pressurisation with changeable length of an inlet path, which should correspond to the values given in the table. | Voltage, | The frequency of engine speed, min -1 | about 12 | less than 5000 | less than 2 | 5000 |
