Rear drum brakes



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the wheel and brake drum.

If the brake drum is difficult to remove, evenly screw bolts into the threaded holes for the screws of the brake drum.

2. After removing the screws, remove the rear hub with brake drum.
3. Remove the upper and lower return springs.

4. Remove the brake pad assembly and the regulator.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure the inner diameter of the brake drum. Indicator of hour type check up palpation of a brake drum. Replace the brake drum if the inner diameter of the drum exceeds the limit.

  • The diameter of the brake drum: 228.6 mm
  • The maximum diameter of the brake drum: 229.6 mm

2. Measure the thickness of the rear brake pads. Replace all the brake pads on the same axle of a vehicle, even if only one block has a thickness less than the maximum allowable.

  • The thickness of the brake linings: 4.45 mm
  • Minimum thickness of overlays brake pads: 1.5 mm

3. Check the fit of the uniformity of the brake pad to the brake drum.

4. Outside the brake drum, check the absence of corrosion and damage.
5. Check base plate for wear or damage.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. greasing grease the following points of contact pads:

  • The points of contact of brake pads with brake shield.
  • The points of contact of brake pads with anchor plate.

Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2

2. Set the rack supporting the brake pad.

3. Install the return springs on the brake pads.

Cotter pin and hub cap should not be reused.


4. Measure the outer diameter of the brake pads mounted regulator and adjust the size (227,6-228,1 mm).

5. After installing the brake drum several times tighten the parking brake lever.
