A steering column without the hydraulic amplifier



Steering column

1 - button on the audio signal;
2 - washers and nuts;
3 - the steering wheel;
4 - column cover;
5 - combination switch;
6 - the ignition lock;
7 - a steering column assembly;
8 - a universal joint;
9 - coupling bolt;
10 - dust cover;
11 - an intermediate shaft;
12 - mounting plate.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Place the front wheels straight.
3. Remove the bolts and remove the power button on the audio signal from the steering wheel.
4. Disconnect an electric socket from the switch of a sound signal.
5. Put combination labels on a steering shaft and steering wheel for proper re-installation.
6. Remove the retaining nut and remove the snap ring from the end of the steering shaft.
7. A stripper remove a steering wheel. After removing the steering wheel from the shaft thread the wires through.

A warning

Do not remove the steering wheel hitting the hammer on the shaft end. This will lead to damage to the bearings and the shaft thread.


8. Remove the three screws and remove the bottom of the column cover.
9. Remove the two lower mounting nuts steering column bracket.

10. Remove the three screws that secure the combination switch.
11. Disconnect an electric socket of the combination switch
12. Moving on, remove the steering column combination switch.
13. Remove the upper bolts of the steering column.
14. Disconnect an electric socket from the ignition.
15. Make a chisel screwdriver slot head bolts ignition.
16. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws ignition.

A warning

Secure the steering shaft in the vise jaws are closed brass plates.


17. Turn out a coupling bolt of the universal joint.
18. Remove the bottom two nuts steering column bracket.
19. Remove the steering column of the vehicle.
20. Remove the mounting plate and dust cover.
21. Turn out a coupling bolt of an intermediate shaft.

Check

Check the steering column shaft and the absence of deformation, cracks and damage and, if necessary, replace damaged parts.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Screw the clamping bolt of the intermediate shaft.

Torque: 17-26 N ??? m

2. Install the mounting plate and dust cover.

Torque: 5,8-8,8 N ??? m

3. Screw coupling bolt of the universal joint.

Torque: 17-26 N ??? m

4. Install the universal joint steering column intermediate shaft and tighten the bolt, tightening it by hand.
5. Replace the top bolt of fastening of a steering column.

Torque: 16-22 N ??? m

6. To set the column to move it in the direction of the steering shaft. The gap between the bolt securing the bottom of the steering column and the bracket must not exceed 0.5 mm.

Torque: 18-26 N ??? m

7. Tighten the bolt of the intermediate shaft.

Torque: 17-26 N ??? m

8. Turn the ignition switch and fix bolts, having tightened their moment to cutting the bolt heads.
9. Connect to the ignition switch electrical connector.

10. Set the combination switch on the steering column.

11. Connect the switch to a combined electric socket.
12. Tighten the bolt of the combination switch.
13. Install the bracket.
14. Install the upper and lower casings of a steering column.
15. According to earlier put labels establish a steering wheel.

16. Install the snap ring and screw lock nut.

Torque: 39-49 N ??? m

17. Set the button sound.
18. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
