Steering with the hydraulic booster
Steering with the hydraulic booster 1 - the power steering pump; 2 - a tank with a liquid for hydraulic power-assisted steering; 3 - oil pipes and hoses;
| 4 - the steering gear; 5 - a steering column; 6 - the steering wheel. |
Steering with the hydraulic booster consists of the following elements:
- The steering gear; - The power steering pump; - Popolnitelny tank; - Hydraulic line.
Power steering uses a hydraulic pressure generated by the power steering pump to reduce the effort required to turn the steering wheel.
Power steering pump is mounted on the front of the engine.
Vane-type pump is driven by a belt from the crankshaft pulley. When the motor pump fluid is drawn from the tank popolnitelnogo is compressed and fed to the steering gear. The fluid pressure is regulated by a control valve located in the power steering pump.
