Checking the fluid pressure in the hydraulic system

A warning

Check that the valve of the analyzer system power-assisted steering is opened, allowing normal operation.

To avoid damage, do not hold the steering wheel turned fully for longer than 10 seconds.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the pressure hose from the pump and connect the device for measurement of pressure OK201 323 AA0 between a hose and a pump.

Torque: 39-59 N ??? m

A warning

Before disconnecting the hose, apply labels to properly re-install it.

2. Insert a thermometer in the tank popolnitelny power steering.
3. Remove air from the hydraulic system of the power steering as follows:

- Check the fluid level in the reservoir popolnitelnom and, if necessary, bring it up to normal;
- Lift the car and fix on support;
- Turn the steering wheel from stop to stop 10 times;
- Re-check the fluid level in the reservoir popolnitelnom and, if necessary, bring it up to normal;
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for as long as the liquid level in the tank is not stabilized;
- Start up the engine and let it run at a frequency of idling;
- Turn the steering wheel from stop to stop 10 times;
- Check that the liquid in the tank does not foam popolnitelnom.

If the liquid foams, it means there is air and it must be removed, which repeat steps 2-7.

A warning

If the fluid is still foaming, check the tightness of hydraulic power steering.

4. Check the temperature of the fluid hydraulic power steering. If the temperature is within 50-60 ? C, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock up until the liquid temperature reaches the desired value.

A warning

To read the pressure valve of the analyzer must be closed for a short time. If the valve is left closed for more than 15 seconds, the temperature of the liquid increases excessively and damage the oil pump.

5. Close the valve. Increase the engine speed to 1000-1500 min -1 and measure the fluid pressure generated by the pump.

The fluid pressure generated by the power steering pump: 7,358-7,848 kPa

If the pressure is within the required range, it is possible to carry out further checks.
If the pressure is below the required values, repair or replace the power steering pump.
If the pressure is higher than the desired value, check the clogging of pipes and repair or replace them, or the power steering pump.
6. Fully open the valve. Increase the engine speed to 1000-1500 min -1 and measure the fluid pressure generated by the pump.

A warning

To avoid damage do not hold the steering wheel is turned fully over 15 seconds.

7. Turn the steering wheel from stop to stop several times and measure the fluid pressure generated by the gear pump. If the pressure is lower than required, replace or repair the steering gear.

The pressure of a liquid created by gear pump of the amplifier: 7,358-7,848 kPa

8. Remove the instrument for measuring pressure. Replace and tighten the pressure hose. Tighten the hose connection to torque.

Torque: 16-24 N ??? m

9. Remove the thermometer and remove air from hydraulic power steering.
