Compression Test

Explicit reducing engine power, increase fuel consumption or unstable frequency of idling, check the following:

- The ignition system;
- The engine compression;
- The fuel system.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Make sure the battery is fully charged. If you want to charge the battery.
2. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
3. Remove the cover from the central engine.
4. Disconnect high-voltage wires and ignition coils.
5. Remove all spark plugs.
6. Insert a compression gauge into the hole for a candle of 1st cylinder.
7. Ask the assistant to fully depress the accelerator pedal for a few seconds and turn the starter.
8. Record the maximum compression meter reading.

9. Similarly check up a compression in other cylinders.

Nominal compression - 1275 kPa, and the difference between the compression cylinder must not exceed 98 kPa.

10. If the compression in one or more cylinders lowered through the spark plug hole into the cylinder pour a small amount of engine oil and re-check the compression. Record the maximum meter reading:

- If the compression is increased, perhaps, worn piston, piston rings and cylinder wall;
- If the compression is still low, it means that is worn or burnt through valve or valve seat;
- If the compression is reduced in two adjacent cylinders, perhaps burnt or deformed gasket mating surface of the cylinder head.
