Withdrawal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system and disconnect the upper radiator hose. | | 2. Remove a hose located between the air filter and the main cover. | | 3. Remove the air intake pipe. | | 4. Remove the vacuum hose, fuel hose and the coolant hose. | | 5. Remove the high-voltage wires from spark plugs. Removing the high-voltage wires spend over candle tips, not the wires themselves. | | 6. Remove the ignition coil. | | 7. Remove the oil pump and the power steering bracket. | | 8. Remove the intake manifold. | | 9. Remove thermofilter and exhaust manifold assembly. | 10. Remove the water pump pulley and the crankshaft pulley. | | 11. Remove the cover of a gear belt. | | 12. Remove a pulley of a gear belt tensioner. | | 13. Remove the timing belt. | | 14. Remove the cylinder head cover and the camshaft cover. |  | 15. In certain sequence for 2-3 stages turn out bolts of the cylinder head. Remove the cylinder head and cylinder head gasket. | | 16. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and cylinder block from the remnants of lining. |
A warning  Exclude hit residues in laying channels for lubrication and engine cylinders.

Check | PERFORMANCE ORDER | | Check cylinder head gasket for leaks, stains, or burn-through cooling liquid gasket between the cylinders. |

Check the cylinder head | PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Inspect the cylinder head for damage, cracks, leaks, oil and coolant. If necessary, replace the cylinder head. |  | 2. The metal ruler and probe in six directions check the flatness of the cylinder head. If necessary pereshlifuyte cylinder head. The maximum deviation from flatness:
Engine A5D: 0,03 mm
Engine A3E: 0,05 mm |
A warning Before installing the cylinder head, check the following items and, if necessary, repair or replace the head:
- The state of the installation depth and valve seats;
- Damage to the mating surfaces of the intake and exhaust manifolds;
- The bearing clearance and the axial clearance of camshafts.
|  | 3. The metal ruler and stylus in two directions measure planeness of interfaced surfaces of collectors. The maximum deviation from flatness:
Engine A5D: 0,03 mm
Engine A3E: 0,05 mm |  | 4. Measure the height of the cylinder head from the base of the cylinder head gasket to the mounting surface of the cylinder head cover. Height:
Engine A5D: 127,8-128,0 mm
Engine A3E: 107,4-107,6 mm | | 5. If the height of the cylinder head is different from the nominal values, replace the cylinder head. |
A warning If you want to make the machining of the cylinder head, preliminary remove the inlet and exhaust manifolds, and check the flatness of the mating surfaces of collectors.
| 6. The metal ruler and stylus in two directions measure planeness of interfaced surfaces of collectors. Deviation from flatness of not more than 0.05 mm | | 7. If the flatness exceeds the allowable limits, replace the cylinder head. |

Installing the cylinder head of the engine A5D | PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head gasket remnants. | | 2. Install a new gasket on the engine block. When installing the gasket sealant use. Do not reuse the cylinder head gasket. Install the cylinder head. |  | 3. In certain sequence tighten bolts of the cylinder head in several stages:
a. Tighten the screws tightening torque 49 N ??? m;
b. in the reverse tightening, loosen the bolts of the cylinder head;
c. re-tighten the bolts tightening torque of 25 N ??? m;
d. tighten the screws by 90 ?�. |
A warning Do not turn the crankshaft of the engine at the removed gear belt.
Before installing, make sure that the pistons are located between the TDC and BDC. This would eliminate the impact of pistons and valves, which can lead to deformation and damage to the engine valves.
Two bolts (7 and 8) is shorter than the other bolts. Do not install the bolts in the other positions.
For the cylinder head is necessary to use new bolts.
| | 4. Establish a pulley mechanism of a tension of a gear belt. | | 5. Install the timing belt on the camshaft pulley, making sure that all the mounting mesh combined with indexes. | | 6. Check the combination of adjusting labels of pulleys of a gear belt. | | 7. Install the cylinder head cover and secure it with bolts, having tightened their demanded moment. Torque: 4,9-8,8 N ??? m | | 8. Replace the cover of a gear belt. | | 9. Install a new intake manifold gasket and intake manifold. Secure the intake manifold bolts, having tightened their demanded moment. | | 10. Install a new exhaust manifold gasket and the exhaust manifold. Secure the exhaust manifold nuts, having tightened their demanded moment. | 11. Install the surge tank and tighten the bots and nuts to torque. Torque:
Bolts and nuts intake and exhaust manifolds: 15-20 N ??? m
Surge tank to the nuts and bolts of an inlet collector: 15-20 N ??? m | | 12. Install the oil pump and the power steering bracket. | | 13. Install the ignition coil. | | 14. Install the air intake tube. | | 15. Attach the vacuum hose, fuel hose and coolant hose. | | 16. Install a hose between the air filter and the main cover. |
