Repair of steering transfer



Steering transfer

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the two bolts and nuts and remove the oil line bracket, then four separate oil line from the steering gear.

A warning

After disconnecting oil lines, cover the holes with plugs or tape, in order to avoid the ingress of foreign materials.


2. Before loosening tie rod mark the relative position of the steering rod, lock nut and rod end.
3. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the tie rod from the steering rod.
4. Fine knockout and a hammer beat out a spring pin.
5. Remove the lock nut locking plugs.
6. Remove the plug.
7. Remove the spring and the sliding stop.
8. Remove the lock nut.
9. Attach the housing steering gear in a vice and remove the pinion shaft.

10. Remove the plug of steering transfer.

11. The special tool slide the rack out of the crankcase from the pinion shaft.

A warning

If the rack is removed without special tools may damage the teeth of the rack housing.


12. Install the special tool to the threaded portion of the transmission from the gear casing.
13. Remove the seal when vydviganii rack.
14. Insert the special tool from the pinion shaft so that it came into contact with the spacer.
15. Install the second special tool on the side opposite the already established previously with a suitable tool.
16. Secure the steering gear housing in a vise.
17. Knock out the bearing and seal rail from the crankcase.
18. The special tool beat out the bottom bearing from the crankcase.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the steering gear parts for cracks or damage and uneven wear on the rack teeth. If necessary, replace worn parts.
2. Check the O-ring for uneven wear and damage. If necessary, replace worn parts.
3. Place the rack on the V-shaped blocks and a dial indicator, measure the deflection rail. If the deflection exceeds the limit, replace the rail.

Deflection: 0.15 mm

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the rubber feet on the steering gear housing.
2. Install the brackets with a plastic hammer.
3. Apply a thin coat of ATF to the O-ring and O-ring ..
4. Install the O-ring groove in the rack.
5. Replace the O-ring groove in the rack.

A warning

Be careful not to tear or damage the lip seal ring.


6. Manually install the O-ring so that it has entered into a groove.
7. Apply a thin coat of grease on the flat surface of the insert housing.
8. Connect the seal rails lubricated flat surface of the insert housing.
9. Apply a light coat of transmission fluid in the inner and outer parts of the housing and insert the seal rail.
10. Install the insert and the casing seal on special tool rack.
11. Insert the special tool into the slot of the pinion shaft.
12. Screw and tighten the nut of the special tool.
13. Return the shaft special tool as far as possible and push the O-ring and insert the casing.
14. Remove the special tool.
15. Apply grease on lithium basis (NLGI ?��2) on the friction surface and the teeth of the rack.
16. The special tool slide the rack into the crankcase steering transfer from the drive gear.
17. Remove the special tool.
18. Apply sealant to the failure of the threaded portion of the sleeve.
19. Install the sleeve into the crankcase steering transfer.
20. Tighten the sleeve while the seal rails must be logged into the pipe.

Torque: 88-98 N ??? m

21. Connect the special tool with a cylinder cover.
22. Connect the vacuum pump with a special tool.
23. Create a vacuum of 400 mm. Hg. Art.
24. Check that the vacuum is maintained for at least 30 seconds. Otherwise, check the seal and assembly.
25. Fix the gear housing in a vise so that the lower opening of the bearing has been directed upwards.
26. Apply a light coat of transmission fluid in the lower bearing and install it into the crankcase.
27. Push the bearing into the crankcase pinion gear cover. Tighten the plug until a sharp increase in the supplied torque.
28. Apply grease on lithium basis (NLGI ?��2) on the gear teeth.
29. Apply a thin coat of ATF to the O-ring and the friction surface of the control valve.
30. Install the gear shaft to the crankcase.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the oil seal with gear teeth. Be careful not to damage the lip seal ring and control valve.


31. Apply a light coat of transmission fluid on the bearing shaft and install it.
32. Apply a thin coat of ATF to the oil and lubricate the O-ring protrusion lubricant lithium-based (NLGI ?��2).
33. Install the special tool (sleeve) on the pinion shaft splines.
34. Pulling on the special tool (sleeve), set the oil sealing ring in the steering gear housing.
35. The sleeve of a suitable diameter and a hammer, install an oil sealing ring so that one could see a recess for the installation of a spring ring.

A warning

When mounting push oil sealing ring.


36. Temporarily install the connector pipe from the steering gear housing.
37. Screw the lock nut on the pinion shaft to contact the connecting rod pipe steering gear housing.
38. Tighten the lock nut.

Torque: 39-49 N ??? m

39. Apply a thin coat of sealant on the threads of the crankcase.
40. Replace the cover housing.

Torque: 44-54 N ??? m

41. Kern, at two locations, stake the crankcase cover.
42. Secure the steering gear housing in a vise so that the emphasis was on top of the slide.
43. Grease sliding emphasis lubricant lithium-based (NLGI ?��2).
44. Establish a sliding emphasis the crankcase.
45. Place the rack in the center position.
46. Tighten a stopper of a sliding stop torque of 9.8 N ??? m and loosen it.
47. Tighten a stopper of a sliding emphasis torque 4,9 ?� 0,5 N ??? m then loosen it by 45 ?�.
48. Apply a thin coat of sealant to the threads of the plug sliding stop.
49. Install and tighten the locknut.

Torque: 49-59 N ??? m

50. Secure the steering gear housing in a vise.
51. Install the tie rod to the steering gear.

Torque: 108-128 N ??? m

52. Install the new cylindrical pin.
53. Fill in the new protective cover of steering transfer the required amount of lubricant.

Lubricant (KTSG 06): 30 g

54. Apply a thin coat of sealant to the surface of a protective cover that is installed in the steering gear housing.
55. Apply a thin layer of lubricant to the inner surface of a protective cover that is installed on the steering rod.
56. Pulling on steering draft, install a protective cover of steering transfer. Fix the big party cover wire wrapping it in two turns and tighten the ends of the wire 4-4,5 times.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the wire attachment case.


57. Fix the case with the smaller side clamp.
58. Screw the lock nut of steering draft and combine the labels put before a reversing of a nut. Screw the tie rod, and combine the labels put before a reversing of a tip. Tighten the tie rod lock nut.
59. Secure the steering gear housing in a vise so that the holes for oil-lines located above.
60. Install the bracket to the oil line and crankcase oil line steering gear and fix two bolts and nuts.

Torque: 39-49 N ??? m
