Removal of bearings of differential

A warning

Do not remove the ball bearings unless it must be replaced.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The special adaptation OK130 171 013 remove the bearing from the side opposite the driven gear.
2. Special adaptation OK130 171 013 remove the bearing from the driven gear.

A warning

Be careful not to drop a differential box.

3. Special adaptation OK670 990 AA0 remove an internal ring of the bearing on the side opposite the driven gear.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check the condition of all the components of the differential and, if necessary, replace them.

Installing crown wheel

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Inspect the ring gear driven gear for wear and cracks. When replacing parts, adjust the bearing preload.

Installation of bearings

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the bearing on absence of damages and smoothness of rotation. If the bearing is removed, replace the bearing rings and adjust the bearing preload.

2. Special adaptation OK900 175 AA1 establish the new bearing on the crown wheel.
3. Install the speedometer drive.
4. The special adaptation OK900 175 AA1 establish the new bearing on the side opposite the driven gear.
5. Install the new cylindrical pin as shown in the figure to fix an axis of satellites.

Check the play between the side gear and the satellite

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the left and right drive shafts in the differential.
2. Install the drive shafts in a V-shaped blocks.

3. dial indicator, measure the backlash.

Backlash: 0-0.1 mm

4. If the backlash exceeds admissible limits, replace the damaged and worn parts.
