Removing, Troubleshooting and installation of the oil pump

The oil pump is removed for replacement with a decrease in its supply, causing a constant pressure drop of oil in the engine lubrication system, and oil leaks through the seal mating surfaces of the pump housing and the cylinder.
You will need: all the tools necessary to remove the timing belt and the oil sump of the engine, as well as face head "12", an extension cord, knob, key "14", Phillips screwdriver blade, pliers.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug ?-? the storage battery.
2. Place the vehicle on a lift or a viewing ditch.
3. Drain the oil from the oil sump of the engine (see. "Replacing the engine oil and oil filter").
4. Remove intermediate pipe exhaust system complete with a catalytic converter (see. "Replacement catalytic converter"), as it prevents the lowering of the engine down.

25. Inspect parts for relief valve. A bent or cracked, replace the spring. The plunger should not be scuffing and dirt. Wash the plug and socket in the case of the oil pump gasoline or kerosene and dry it with compressed air. Small scratches and burrs on the plunger, remove the "zero" sandpaper. If this is not possible, replace the plug.

30. The metal ruler and a feeler gauge, measure the side clearance of the oil pump gear. The gap should be 0.18 mm.
31. Measure the clearance between the teeth of the inner and outer gears of the oil pump. The nominal gap between the teeth of the inner and outer gear oil pump - 0.376 mm.
32. Check the strainer drains for cracks or damage and, if necessary, replace it. Contaminated strainer, rinse and dry benzene.

NOTE
The compound housing the oil pump and the engine block is sealed with sealant. What a pad is missing.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Each pump is removed, replace the crankshaft front oil seal (see. "Replacing the seals of the crankshaft of the engine").

33. Remove the old sealant from the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and the oil pump body. Carefully wipe with a cloth with oil gasket surfaces.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Do not degrease before applying the sealant gasket surface of the block and the pump casing, only carefully remove them from the oil. This will permit easy disassembly compound, if necessary in the future.

37. Install the oil pump cover, privernuv the screws to the pump casing torque 6-9 Nm (0.6-0.9 kpm), and make sure the pump gears rotate without jamming.
38. Apply seal in the form of a roller diameter of approximately 3 mm around the perimeter of the mating surface of the pump housing.
39. Place the pump in reverse order of removal, and tighten its mounting bolts evenly crosswise torque 19 Nm (1.9 kgf-m).
A WARNING
To start up the engine after the installation of the oil pump can be no earlier than one hour, the time required for the polymerization of the sealant.

40. Install all previously removed parts and pour the oil into the engine.
