Check of serviceability of functioning of system components motor control / reduce emissions

Petrol models

ECM

Description Just checking ECM described in Section Engine management and emission control.

TPS

See. Section systems of electric motor.

MAF sensor

See. Section systems of electric motor.

ECT sensor

See. Section systems of electric motor.

IAC valve

See. Section Check the power supply system.

The main relay

See. Section systems of electric motor.

Intake air temperature sensor (IAT)

See. Section systems of electric motor.

Heated lambda probes

Check voltage

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature and leave its working on single turns.
  1. Connect a voltmeter to ground and terminal number 4 (black wire) connector checked lambda probe.
  1. Several times short jerky lift the engine speed - the voltmeter should be changed in the range of 0 ÷ 1.0V.

The rate of voltage fluctuation on the lambda probe postkataliticheskom ? less than dokataliticheskom.

  1. In the case of a negative result of measurement Check the state of the system on-board self-diagnostics (OBD), the depth of the vacuum in the intake manifold pressure in the fuel lines - if no deviations can not be identified, replace the oxygen sensor. Required tightening force lambda probe is 30 ÷ 49 Nm, do not forget to install sealing washer.

Check resistance

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure the ignition is off.
  2. Disconnect from a check be lambda probe wiring, and connect an ohmmeter to plugs ?? 1 and 3 pin connector - with a temperature of 20 ? C, the measurement result should be approximately 6 ohms. Faulty sensor must be replaced, - track compliance efforts tightening.

The knock sensor (KS)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

The knock sensor (KS).
  1. KS is installed on the right side of the engine block. Without disconnecting the sensor, connect a voltmeter to terminal number 3 (yellow-green wire) of its connector, - the second wire meter ground to ground.
  2. Turn on the ignition and tap wrench on the support beam of the power unit - the sensor should generate a surge amplitude less than 1 V.
  3. Faulty sensor replace (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Chassis acceleration sensors (CAS)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. CAS is used to track vertical movement of the frame when driving his car off-road. Based on data from the sensor analyzes the information on ECM misfire.
  1. Without disconnecting the wiring from the sensor, connect to terminal number 3 (blue-green wire) of its connector voltmeter - the second wire meter ground to ground.
  2. Turn on the ignition and tap wrench on the support bracket sensor - voltmeter should record surge amplitude less than 1V.
  3. Faulty sensor Replace.

Diesel models

In addition to those described in Section Check the power supply system.

Checking the accelerator pedal position sensor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the sensor output voltage. At idle the measurement result should be 0.3 ÷ 1.1V at full throttle - 3.68 ÷ 5.0V.
  2. If necessary, disconnect the wiring from the sensor and thread the blade-type probe into the gap between the lever and the stop.
  3. Check for the presence of conductivity sensor: at a thickness of 0.45 mm probe conductivity should take place.
  4. If applicable, loosen the fixing screw and make the appropriate adjustment.

Check trip relay K /

Control Principle forced off the K /

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Through this relay ECM provides positive interruption of the clutch of the compressor K / V in order to maintain the stability of the idling speed the following conditions:
    • Within nine seconds immediately after the start of the engine;
    • When the coolant temperature exceeds 118 ? C value (compressor remains disabled as long as the temperature is below 113 ? C);
    • Within 3 seconds at full throttle is opened;
    • 2 seconds during hard acceleration with more than 30 percent by squeezing gas pedal at speeds below 17 km / h.
  2. To check the serviceability of functioning of the relay switch on the ignition and activate the air conditioning system.
  3. Depress the accelerator and make sure the hearing in good off the magnetic coupling of the compressor, - the compressor has to be activated again after about 3 seconds.

Checks EGR system

Check of serviceability of functioning of the EGR

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Verification is carried out using a diagnostic scanner.
  2. Connect the scanner to start the engine DLC.
  3. Log in to the section of service checks "2 SERVICE DATA TEST? scanner and on-screen display information, make sure of serviceability of functioning of system EGR, the edges should be forcibly turned off (OFF) when the engine is idling during deseleratsii at high speeds and high loads ; during acceleration and engine warming amount mixed into the combustion exhaust gas is minimized; when all other conditions of the mixing of control carried out by the control valve EGR.

Check of serviceability of functioning of the EGR control solenoid

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the valve.
  2. Poduv in the valve, make sure it is in the closed position.
  1. Disconnect from the valve the wiring and turn ON the battery voltage - the valve should open (check poduv).
  1. A faulty valve must be replaced.

Check of serviceability of functioning of the executive of the EGR valve

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Start the engine and leave it running at idle.
  1. Connect a hand vacuum pump valve and create a vacuum - the vacuum at a depth of more than 65 mm Hg. v. the stability of the engine speed should be significantly disrupted, until the stop.
  1. Faulty valve replace - make sure that the mounting bolts are tightened during installation with the required effort.
