Checking the ignition timing

The need for any camshaft adjustment after replacing the ignition coil is not!

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The reason for failure of the ignition timing can be a refusal of the camshaft position sensor, and a mechanical violation of the phase rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft associated with a shift or a broken timing belt, - a description of procedures of service of components of the mechanism timing is given in section Current care and maintenance and Engine.
  2. Cock a lay brake.
  3. Start the engine, warm it up to normal operating temperature and leave it running at idle.
  4. Turn off all power consumers onboard.
  5. Connect the engine tachometer / scanner and make sure the correct idle speed setting (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  1. Acting in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, connect the strobe to the explosive spark plug of the first cylinder and the reconciliation marks the crankshaft pulley and the scale on the cover of the timing verify the correctness of the ignition timing.
  1. If the result is outside the permitted range (6 ? ? 6 ? before TDC at idle), replace the ECM, - manual adjustment of the ignition timing of the ignition system design are not available.
