Withdrawal

The front shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Mark adjusting position of the shaft relative to the connecting flange of the drive pinion front axle, release the fixing bolts / nuts to release the front end of the shaft and tie up to the elements of its chassis / suspension.
  1. Mark adjusting position of the shaft relative to the connecting flange of the output shaft transfer case, release the four fastening screws, separate the shaft and pull it out from under the car.

Rear shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Mark adjusting position of the shaft relative to the connecting flange of the output shaft transfer case, release the four mounting screws / nuts, peel off the front end of the shaft from the transfer case and tie him to the elements of the chassis.
  1. Mark adjusting position of the shaft relative to the connecting flange of the drive pinion rear axle, release the four mounting screws / nuts, separate the shaft and pull it out from under the car.

Both shaft

  1. If there is a need for a division jointed splined shaft sections and their installation position must first mark in order to avoid unbalance.

Service

  1. Carefully wipe the components assemblies universal joints.
  2. Hold the body of the shaft in a vice with soft sponges.
  1. Mark the position of the universal joint components relative to each other, - improper joint components may impair balancing assembly.
  1. Hooking using a flathead screwdriver, remove the locking hinge assembly retaining rings.
  1. Easy tapping clamp hammer with soft brisk, remove bearing crosses. Remove the collar.
  1. With a suitable punch knock out the bearings and remove the crossbar.
  1. Assess the components, if necessary, prepare replaceable units.
  1. Before assembly in the cover tamp and rollers bearings, as well as in the oil holes cross lithium based grease (NGLI number 2).
  1. Fill the crossbar in the fork shaft, - track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels - and with a hammer with soft brisk zastuchite two bearings.
  1. Put on the spider clamp universal joint, - track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels - and with a hammer with soft brisk zastuchite two bearings.
  1. Lock assembly NEW retaining rings, having tracked correctness of planting them in the receiving grooves.

Retaining rings should be chosen so that the starting rotation joint effort does not go beyond the permissible range (see Specifications of the Head Transmission Line). All four of the ring must be the same thickness.


  1. Check the starting rotation force of the hinge assembly. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head of Transmission line, if necessary, make appropriate adjustment by adjusting the thickness of the other retaining rings (see. Table).

  1. Connect the shaft section, - track correctness of combination of landing labels, then lay shaft prism and meter using a plunger-type determine the value of its bending. If the result exceeds the limit value (see. Specifications of the Head Transmission Line), metering shaft.

Setting

  1. Installation is the reverse order of dismantle of components, - track correctness of combination of landing labels and the requirements of Specifications of the Head Transmission Line to the efforts of a tightening of carving connections.
