Check / adjust the clutch pedal
Hydraulic drive (all models except the "universal" and front wheel drive with the gasoline engine to 9/89 MY). The height and clutch pedal free play should be checked in the event of difficulties on and off, and after removal of the clutch switch. The switch is located on the clutch pedal unit and informs the control unit of the injection on the impact on the clutch pedal. On the diesel engine instead of the switch is threaded stop bolt. Check / adjust the height of the pedal |  | - Measure the distance from the upper side of the pedal to a rug. Required value: Models with 10/89 Vol .: 196 - 204 mm; diesel models, as well as all-wheel drive to 9/89 MY .: 229 -234 mm.

- If necessary, remove the bottom facing the instrument panel to get to the adjustment screw. Disconnect from the clutch switch -B-, loosen the lock nut -A- and adjust the height of the rotation of the pedal switch. To tighten the lock nut with a force of 15 Nm.
- After this adjustment, check the pedal play.

Check / adjustment of the backlash clutch pedal | - Press the clutch pedal with your finger until it reaches a noticeable resistance. Measure the clearance of the pedal. The required value from 5 to 13 mm. Note: When you click through 0.7 - 3.3 mm should feel a slight resistance. This is the point when the push rod As for the master cylinder piston.
- If required, loosen the locknut and adjust the gap of -C pedal rotation of the piston rod -D-.
- Fully push the pedal and measure the pedal to the rest of the rug away. Required value: Models with 9/89 MY .: at least 41 mm; diesel models, as well as wheel-drive models to 9/89 MY .: at least 82 mm.
- To tighten the lock nut with a force of -C 15 Nm.
- After adjusting the pedal play again, check the height of the pedal.
- Connect the connector to the switch and clutch Refit the dashboard.
