Start the engine after repair and running

After completing the assembly of the engine double-check the oil level and coolant.

At the turned out candles and grounded high-voltage wire of the ignition coil rotate the crankshaft until the oil pressure sensor registration (if available construction) or to the extinction of a control lamp of pressure of oil.

Screw candles, dress tips of cables and high-voltage wire of the ignition coil.

Make sure that the carburetor throttle valve is closed, then start the engine. The engine should start immediately, after a short period of time needed to fill the carburetor with gasoline.

Immediately after starting the engine should set the high idle speed, to provide a high oil pressure in the lubrication system and rapid heating of the engine up to operating temperature. As the heating of the engine carefully watch for leaks of oil or coolant.

Switch off the ignition and check the oil levels and the coolant.

Restart the engine and check the setting of the ignition timing and idle speed. Adjust if necessary.

Take a trip to a place with a little heavy traffic, run the vehicle from a speed of 50 km / h to 90 km / h by pressing a pedal throttle to full open it. Then release the throttle pedal, the engine brake the car to a speed of 50 km / h. Repeat the cycle of 10-12 times. This results in extra earnings of piston rings to walls of cylinders. Recheck the oil level and coolant.

Take a trip to 1000 km, without subjecting the engine to heavy loads (move on low speed), periodically check the oil level. During the break-in possible increased oil consumption.

After run of 1000-1200 km replace oil and the oil filter, tighten the bolts of the cylinder head and check the clearance between valves and rockers.

At run next few hundred kilometers drive a car in a normal mode, avoiding too large and too small loads.

After 4000 km of run again replace oil and the oil filter and the engine is considered to be past run-in.
