Air Conditioning: Check the coolant level

A warning

Do not open the refrigerant circulation circuit in the air conditioner. The refrigerant contains substances which are in contact with the skin can cause frostbite.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean level indicator (arrow) on the reservoir with fluid.
2. Remove the mains plug from the temperature sensor (coolant / air conditioning) (B10 / 8). Shunt connection auxiliary wire.
3. Start the engine and let it run at idle.
4. Turn on the air conditioning and set it to "defrost" or "air drying".
5. Remove the jumper on the connectors and at the same time watch through the peephole on the reservoir with the coolant. Briefly after the electromagnetic coupling refrigerant must be lifted, and then proceed without bubbles. In this case, the refrigerant can no longer be seen.
6. Slide the sensor on the mains plug.

A warning

At higher ambient temperatures (above 35 ? C) even at normal filling amount of the refrigerant may occur and little foam bubbles. When refrigerant leaks or suspected leaks of the correct amount of refrigerant filling can be determined only by the complete emptying and filling of the new system (working in the garage).
