Checking the V-belt



Belt can not be further tightened. As part of maintenance should check it for damage.



PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Mark the belt in a clearly visible feature of the side of the chalk.
3. Turn the motor shaft by means of a removable end head SW 27 on the crankshaft pulley in the rotational direction of the motor shaft, respectively, per part until until it becomes visible again chalky mark. At the same time establish a transmission in neutral, pull the hand lever activate the parking brake.
A warning

Do not turn the motor shaft in the opposite direction.


4. Check the V-belt for the following damages:
- Wear of side surfaces: edges are pointed in the direction of the point (B), they again take a trapezoidal shape;
- Pulling wire can be seen at the base of the ribs, particularly evident in the lighter areas (C);
- Transverse fracture (D) on the reverse side of the belt;
- Separate the ribs come off (behind);
- Frayed outer pulling wires (F);
- Pulling wires torn side (G);
- Transverse fracture (H) in some edges;
- Discontinuities ribs (J);
- Individual transverse cracks in the edges of the belt (C);
- The inclusion of dirt and stones between the ribs;
- Rubber lumps in the bottom of the ribs.
5. Replace the V-ribbed belt, if there are one or more defects.
