Checking the coolant level

The coolant level is maintenance should be checked before each also relatively long journey. For topping up, even in the warm season, use only a mixture of antifreeze and bezyzvestkovoy, clean water.
A warning

In order to continue the trip, you can also, especially in summer, clear water topped up. In this case, as soon as possible to make adjustments in the composition of the coolant radiator.

6-cylinder and 4-cylinder engine with air-conditioning: the coolant level at cold engine (coolant temperature of about + 20 ? C) should reach the interface between a black top and a transparent bottom part of the expansion tank.

4-cylinder engine without the air conditioner coolant level at cold engine (coolant temperature of about + 20 ? C) should be up to the mark in the inlet pipe of the radiator.

Top up the coolant if the level is too low.

To avoid damage to the engine, top up the coolant when the engine is cold.

A warning

Carefully open sealing cap when the engine is hot. There is a danger of scalding! When you open the top of the closure cover lay a cloth. Sealing cap open as possible only in the case where the coolant temperature is below 90 ? C.

When you open the first slightly lift the sealing cap to remove the excess pressure. Then turn the cover and then remove it.
