Defective nozzle unscrewed in turn, weakening the union nuts on high-pressure pipes, while the engine is running at idle speed fast. If the engine speed after loosening nut remains constant, this indicates a malfunction nozzle.

Shop can check the injected fuel jet and the pressure of the injection nozzle in the range of 100 to 125 bar and, if necessary to make adjustment by changing shims.

The first signs of the appearance of faults in the nozzle:

- Misfiring;
- Knocking in one or more cylinders;
- Engine overheating;
- Loss of engine power;
- Excessively strong thick black smoke in the exhaust gases;
- High fuel consumption;
- Enhanced blue smoke when starting a cold engine

High pressure fuel pump (pump injector) (2.0 liter engine)

r8a. Bolt and washer or nespadayuschim stop member
10. O-ring
Always replaced before installation grease
11. Screw plug
13, 13a. Fixing bolts, 25 Nm
16. The damper speed controller high pressure fuel pump
Only in the case of manual gearboxes
19. Fixing bolt, 45 Nm (a left-hand thread)
54-57. High pressure pipe, 10-20 Nm
78. O-ring
Every time replaced
80, 82, 83. Fuel lines (U 202 fuel type to sit down with the quick-release)
023. The locking bolt (tool)
To block the high pressure fuel pump
027. The spline key (instrument)
To rotate the high pressure fuel pump in a disassembled state

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cross tube of the air filter.
2. Clean the outside of the fuel.
3. Remove the high pressure pipe (54) connecting the nozzle and the high pressure fuel pump, remove the holder, removing the spring clip and set it aside. It does not change the curved shape of the fuel.
A warning

To loosen the union nuts on high-pressure pipes need to open ring spanner type HAZET 4550-14 with 1/4 drive and extension. 1/4 means that the length of the edge of the square hole in the insert key is 1/4 inch.

4. Remove the nozzle pipes to drain the leaking fuel (50). Pull the plug (52) with the nozzle of the fourth cylinder.
5. Remove the nozzle (30) using a socket wrench SW 37 provided with a very long nozzle.
6. If there is, pull the grommet.
7. Remove the nozzle gasket (53).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install a new gasket injectors (113).
2. If so, insert a sealing plug (109) in the threaded ring (112).
3. Screw the nozzle (114) and tighten it to a torque of 30 Nm Additional images detail: 70 - cylinder head, 71 - cylinder head gasket, 110 - antechamber.
4. Fit the drain pipe leaking topliva.15. Screw the high-pressure pipes to the nozzle and the pump and secure the spring retainer clips.
5. Mount the cross tube of the air filter.

ENGINES 2.2 / 2.5 L

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cross tube of the air filter.
2. Remove the cover (6/1) of the cylinder head cover.
3. Use suitable pliers to pull the nozzle pipes to drain the leaking fuel.
4. Remove from the injectors and fuel pump high-pressure injectors, remove the holder spring clamps and set aside. It does not change the curved shape of the fuel.
A warning

To loosen the union nuts on high-pressure pipes need to open ring spanner, for example, HAZET 4550-14.

5. Remove the nozzle (50) using a socket wrench SW27 with a long nozzle.
6. Remove the nozzle gasket (50/6).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Insert a new gasket injectors.
2. Screw the nozzle and tighten them to a torque of 40 Nm
3. Push the pipes to drain the leaking fuel.

ENGINE 2.2 liter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Screw the nozzle and the pump (10) to a torque of 10-20 Nm (approximate value) of high pressure fuel from 55/1 to 55/4. In order to avoid fracture of pipelines, install retaining spring clips (56).
3. Replace the cover cylinder head cover.
4. Install the cross tube of the air filter.

ENGINE 2.5-liter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Screw the nozzle and the pump (10) to a torque of 10-20 Nm (approximate value) of high pressure fuel from 55/1 to 55/5. In order to avoid fracture of pipelines, must be in accordance with the pattern set retaining spring clips (56).
3. Replace the cover of the cylinder head.
4. Install the cross tube of the air filter.
