Adjusting the engine idling

Adjusting screw amount of the mixture, set the engine speed to idle in the range of 900 ? 50 / min (when turning the screw clockwise the speed decreases).

At idle, carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gases must be 0,5 ? 0,2%. If it is less, it may be due to the following reasons:

  • leakage of the intake tract of the engine (after meter of air flow);
  • the fault of additional air supply valve;
  • fault fuel pressure regulator;
  • Partial blockage of the fuel filter;
  • mismatch discharge pressure of the fuel pump to the nominal value;
  • Malfunction of;
  • malfunctions of electronic devices fuel injection system (to check them, use the control device Bosch 0.684.100.202).

The causes of increased CO content can be:

  • insufficient tightness dipstick;
  • elevated levels of oil in the oil pan;
  • leakage of intake or exhaust valves;
  • air flow meter fault;
  • powershift launcher nozzles;
  • malfunctions of electronic devices fuel injection system (to check them, use the control device Bosch 0.684.100.202);
  • leaking injectors.
