Removing and installing heat exchanger heater



Details of the installation of the heat exchanger heater

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Pre-pressure relief path, empty the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  2. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, - the need to connect the auxiliary battery is missing.
  4. Remove the instrument panel (see chap. Body).
  5. Remove the gas pedal.
  6. Remove the carpet floor in the left rear footswitch well (see chap. Body).
  7. Remove the cover on the left front side of the central tunnel.
  8. Remove the air supply hose to the left rear foot well.
  9. Release the clips (9a) and remove the nozzle (9).
  10. Remove the coupling collars (10) and disconnect from the heat exchanger (12) of the tube cooling path (11), clamps (10) and O-rings must be replaced without fail.
  11. Remove the bolts (13).
  12. Remove the collar (14) and remove the heat exchanger (12).
  13. Carefully clean the inside of the heat exchanger housing, completely removing it implies coolant leaks that are the source of odors.
  14. Installation is in the reverse order.
  15. On models corresponding complete deactivate service mode of TELE AID.
  16. Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
