The car equipment, arrangement of devices and controls

General layout of controls is shown in the illustrations.

Device combination

The instrument cluster of the instrument panel of a vehicle is turned on a set of basic gauges, warning lights and indicator lights.

The speedometer, odometer and trip odometer current

The speedometer indicates the vehicle speed in km / h. below the axis of the indicator arrow is a digital display, the top field is reserved for the odometer (counter full run of the car), the bottom - under the counter current mileage of the trip.

Tachometer

Near the speedometer dial is a pointer to engine speed - the tachometer. Arrow meter shows the driver the speed of the crankshaft in rev / min. Keep the engine speed to be raised so that the arrow pointer sign within the allocated red range of the meter.

Coolant temperature gauge

Meter detects the temperature of engine coolant. Meter reading may vary depending on the ambient temperature and driving conditions. When you exit the arrow device outside the range of acceptable values of the scale, you should immediately stop movement and allow the engine to cool. Continuous operation overheated engine can cause its failure.

Measuring fuel consumption

Fuel consumption meter indicates the current fuel level in the tank. When braking, acceleration, maneuvering and driving downhill meter reading may vary slightly. Wiring meter is that it continues to produce business value even when the ignition is switched off. When lowering the fuel level in the tank before the critical works built in in the dial gauge indicator lamp.

Warning lights and warning buzzers

The assembly dash car built a whole complex of control lamps with which the driver receives important information about serviceability / malfunction of the main components and systems of the car. Here the reader will find information on the principle of operation of each of the available LEDs individually.

Check of lamps

1. Cock a lay brake and turn the ignition (the engine do not start), - the dashboard warning lights should light up the charge, oil pressure and engine status

It should also briefly involved and soon go out of control lamp ABS and SRS

AIR BAG

2. If any of these bulbs does not work, so it is out of order, or there is a break in the chain of its wiring. Try to identify and eliminate the cause of failure.

The warning lamp battery charge

Charge indicator lamp should light up when the ignition is switched on and off immediately after the engine starts. The inclusion of this warning lamp with the engine running warns the driver of infringement of serviceability of functioning of the charge, ie, the battery goes into the discharge. It should be immediately shut down all electricity consumers, on the functioning of which does not depend on traffic safety and to try to avoid stopping the engine, as the attempt to re-start can lead to the final discharge of the battery. The car should be immediately driven away on the nearest car repair shop for fault diagnosis and performance of necessary regenerative repair.

The control lamp of pressure of motor oil

The control lamp of pressure of motor oil should light up when the ignition is switched on and off immediately after the engine starts. Flashing lights when the engine is running indicates the pulsation reducing the working oil pressure in the engine. Move indicator to steady light it indicates that the oil pressure dropped to dangerously low levels, which is fraught with serious internal engine damage, up to the full damage it. In both cases it is necessary to take urgent measures to adjust the oil level to identify and address the causes of the pressure drop.

The warning lamp condition of the engine

The indicator lamp lights up briefly when the ignition. Operate it at any other time indicates a possible malfunction of the systems of electric power unit. In the absence of visible signs of failures of functioning of systems of the power unit and reduce the dynamics of the vehicle fixed by the inclusion of a control lamp violation may cause increase in fuel consumption or increase the toxicity of emissions. Ignoring the warning lamp signal lead to serious damage to the engine, until the release of the unit failure. When triggered, the control lamp on the go, stop motion, park in a safe place and stop the engine, and then, after a short time, make a run, while observing the behavior of the warning lamp. If the lamp has not returned to normal operation, and continues to burn, the car should be driven away on the nearest car repair shop for detailed diagnostics and perform necessary regenerative repair. Before troubleshooting engine systems try to drive at a moderate speed, avoiding sharp dispersals with full squeezing the gas pedal.

Even if you restart the engine warning lamp will return to normal mode (ie, off) should be at the first opportunity to consult a workshop, especially if the inclusion of such indicators do not occur for the first time.

Continued operation of the vehicle with the included control lamp condition of the engine can lead to premature failure of the catalytic converter. Remember that failures and damage caused by operation of the vehicle with the included control lamp warranty factory n6e apply!

In addition to the functions described above, on models with the corresponding complete this warning lamp also serves as a warning lamp immobilizer NATS V2.0.

Movement with the cocked lay brake leads to rapid overheating and failure of the brakes on the rear wheels, and premature wear of the tire tread of the rear wheels, and, moreover, may be an infringement of serviceability of functioning of the anti-lock braking (ABS) (See below.). One possible reason for a gradual reduction of the brake fluid level is normal wear and tear of the friction brake linings. At operation of a control lamp the car should be driven away to the nearest service station for evaluation of pads and leak testing of a hydraulic path of brake system.

Short-term operation of a control lamp occurs also when the ignition (even when the parking brake is released).

ABS warning lamp

At a corresponding complete vehicle, this warning lamp lights up when the ignition is switched on and off immediately after the engine is started, thus confirming serviceability of functioning of the circuit anti-lock braking system. Operation of a control lamp in any other situation demonstrates the identification self-diagnosis system disorders circuit ABS. The car should drive off without delay to the nearest service station for detailed diagnostics of the system and the implementation of necessary regenerative repair.

When the alarm control lamp turns off anti-lock brakes, but the car brakes continue to function as usual, providing adequate braking of the vehicle.

The control lamp of additional safety (SRS)

This warning lamp lights up when the ignition switch and extinguished immediately after the engine starts. When Lama stays on with the engine running (constant or flashing mode), this indicates a malfunction of components SRS. At a corresponding complete control of the operation of the lamp may be an indication of a fault in the contours of the side airbags or automatic emergency devices pretensioners.

Control lamp of inclusion Tempostat

CRUISE

At a corresponding complete vehicle, this warning lamp lights up when the automatic control system of the vehicle speed (Tempostat) (See below.).

Control lamp of leaky closing of doors

The glow of the warning lamp warns the driver that not all car doors slammed tight.
