Before servicing electrical system components on-board read the safety rules when working with electrical appliances.


The car is equipped with 12-volt on-board power supply system grounding of the negative pole. The power supply to the lighting and other consumers from a battery lead-acid type, which is produced by charging alternator.

This chapter describes the procedures for repair and maintenance of electrical components mounted on a vehicle and having no direct connection to the engine. Information service units such as battery, distributor, alternator and starter, see Chapter Electric engine dedicated to the engine's electrical system.

Before servicing electrical components of the board, in order to avoid electric shock or fire due to accidental short-circuit, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Regularly check the condition of wiring harness and tightened them in intermediate clamps, collars and trim. Make sure that the wire insulation, do not wipe in contact with the next door on the wiring components.

Considered in this manual car models are equipped with additional safety (SRS). Before proceeding with any work near the airbag unit, steering column and instrument panel, disconnect SRS to avoid injury at its casual operation (see. Section Airbags - general information). Wiring of chain SRS is easy for distinguishing on yellow color of isolation.


If installed on the car stereo is equipped with a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!
