Engine 3.0 l

general information

Engine refers to the 6-cylinder in-line unit with overhead camshaft (ohc), a cross-flow cylinder head made of aluminum alloy, cast iron crankcase.

Crankshaft is set in seven main bearings, the center of which is persistent, responsible for the amount of axial play of the shaft.

Both indigenous and connecting rod bearings have replaceable bimetallic liners with anti-friction layer on a steel tape.

Instead of separate crankshaft bearing caps using a common individual beds for each of the bearings, which gives extra rigidity of the engine block.

Sealing landing crankshaft provide front and rear seals, one of which is mounted in the oil pump at the front of the cylinder block, and the second - in the holder fixed to the rear wall of the box. The camshaft is also equipped with front oil seal, bearing plate placed in the shaft.

Camshaft drive via gear timing belt on the crankshaft gear. The belt tension is controlled by a special tension roller equipped with an adjusting spring and the blocking (locking).

All valves are equipped with inner and outer springs with short pitch windings lower. Twist inner coils produced in the opposite direction with respect to the outer. In addition, the direction of spin sets of springs exhaust valves of the first, second and third cylinders is opposite to that of the rest of the sets of valves.

Hydraulic jacks are in direct contact with the cams of the camshaft and actuated rocker light alloy, which in turn control the operation of valves.

Each hydraulic pusher, in contrast to conventional, is equipped with an automatic adjustment of the valve that keeps a value of zero valve clearance.

Drive located in front of the cylinder the oil pump is driven directly by the crankshaft.

The engine casing is hermetically connected to the flywheel in order to prolong the life of the starter clutch. At the bottom of the casing tube is provided for the periodic discharge accumulations of water and oil.
