Removing and installing engine

The procedures for removing and installing the engine will need reliable lifting equipment with an attorney rigging.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lift the hood and take care of reliable protection of body panels front of the vehicle.
  2. Circle marker hood hinges in order to facilitate subsequent installation. Disconnect the hood from the fluid hose washing the windshield.
  3. Give fixing screws and remove the hood Assistant from the car.
  4. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  5. Drain the cooling system and remove from the car radiator hoses.
  6. Give nuts of the fan assembly to the water pump pulley and remove the fan.
  7. Remove the engine air cleaner.
  8. Loosen the hose clamps and return fuel supply to the fuel dispensing pump. Disconnect hoses. Plug the open ends of the tubes to prevent the ingress of dirt into the power system.
  9. Disconnect the heating pipes from the heater hoses on the engine compartment bulkhead, - try not to damage the accident last. If necessary, cut the hoses to facilitate the procedures for their removal.
  10. Loosen the nuts securing the throttle cable on his arm, turning the lever move the damper to the fully open position and remove the cable end of the holder. Remove the cable to the side, put him in such a way that it does not interfere with further work.
  11. Disconnect the intake manifold brake booster vacuum hose.
  12. Disconnect the main power cord starter and disunite an electric socket of the traction relay.
  13. Disconnect the engine wiring harness connectors near the battery, release the wires from the retainer under the carburetor.
  14. Disconnect the electrical connectors temperature sensor, ignition coil, distributor and carburetor (arrangement of components in the engine compartment is shown in the accompanying illustration, which shows the engine if the air cleaner). Give the bolt and disconnect the ground wire from the bracket drive cable carb.
  1. On models equipped with air conditioning, disconnect the vacuum hose regulator of turns of idling of the damper throttle and inlet pipeline.
  2. The left side of the engine compartment, disconnect the ground wire from the lifting eyebolt powertrain.
  3. Disconnect hoses from a coal adsorber steel tubes on the engine.
  4. Install drain capacity under the steering pump, loosen the return hose clamp, disconnect the hose and drain the hydraulic fluid steering system gain. Give the banjo bolt on the pump, - try not to lose the copper sealing washers.
  5. Attach the hoses hydrostrengthening steering away from the work area with a clean lint-free wound rags to avoid hit in dirt system.
  6. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
  7. Give bolts and release the plastic screw clamp on crankcase. Remove protection.
  8. On models equipped with air-conditioning:
    1. Loosen the lock nut of a tension roller, and rotate the adjusting screw with a screwdriver, remove the drive belt from the pulley of the compressor.
    2. Give the lower bolts and nuts of fastening of the compressor.
    3. Remove the upper mounting bolts, lift the compressor and secure it on the mudguard of the left wing.

Do not loosen the attachment lines of high pressure compressor in order to prevent injuries and frostbite damage as a result of direct contact with the refrigerant. Furthermore, loss of refrigerant will lead to the need to recharge the system.

  1. Give nuts securing the exhaust flange exhaust system to the exhaust manifold. Unplug exhaust pipe without changing its position on the vehicle.
  2. Give bolts clutch sleeve and the hose bracket to the left side of the engine under the starter.
  3. Give fixing bolts and remove the motor starter - probably will have to overcome some resistance associated with the need for the destruction of the sealant.
  4. Post the engine using suitable lifting equipment, removing the weight of the power unit from its supports.
  5. Give nuts of fastening of support of the engine cylinder block and bearing bolts to the chassis.
  6. Slightly lift the engine and remove the support. Lower the engine to the chassis for easy access to the upper bolts of the flywheel housing.
  7. Give the upper bolts to the flywheel housing of the transmission.
  8. A suitable tool, cut the sealant around the perimeter of the flywheel housing joint to the transmission. Try not to damage interfaced surfaces.
  9. Carefully lift the engine assembly and move it forward on the car. Make sure that the input shaft of the transmission assembly came loose coupling.
  10. With extreme caution, trying not to damage delicate components, remove the engine assembly from the vehicle. If there is the slightest uncertainty it makes sense to spend time on the prior removal of interfering components.

Setting

Set largely in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make a thorough cleaning of the mating surfaces and the engine flywheel housing. On the transmission mating surface, apply sealant cushion.

The tightness of fit of the back plate on the engine is also extremely important, as it prevents the leakage of water into the flywheel housing.

  1. Do not forget using false tree or a special tool to center the clutch disc on the flywheel, only then tighten the fasteners basket.
  2. Before installing the front of the power unit support screw the upper bolts to the engine flywheel housing.
  3. By shifting the weight of the engine support, tighten the bolts and nuts on the latest chassis and engine.
  4. Fill the engine with the required amount of oil required grades. Fill the cooling system.
  5. Connect the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system to the exhaust manifold by installing a new gasket.
  6. Lubricate the sealing flange boarding starter and starter set into place.
  7. Adjust the accelerator cable.
  8. Before starting the engine, the primary check that all settings and adjust the belt tension.
  9. After starting make sure the temperature of the engine oil pressure. Check the engine for leakage in case of such eliminate their causes.
