Seals, crankshaft



Replacement

RIGHT SEAL (SEAL front cover)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
2. Carefully remove the oil seal by prying with a screwdriver.
3. Clean the stuffing box and remove all burrs and sharp edges.
4. Grease and gently press in new shaft seal to lock the shoulder provided on the outer surface.
5. Remove any grease, then install the crankshaft pulley.

REAR SEAL (FLYWHEEL SEAL)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the flywheel (see. Subsection 3.1.1.15).
2. Pry oil seal and carefully remove the block.
3. Clean the stuffing box.
4. Grease working edges of a new shaft seal and sealing crankshaft journal with a thin layer of grease, oil seal properly orient the relatively crankcase.
5. Carefully put the oil seal on the crankshaft and the press-fit is straight so that the surface is flush with the oil seal flange on the engine block.
6. Remove grease residues, set the flywheel.
