Cylinder Head
The sequence of tightening the cylinder head bolts Withdrawal PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the battery from weight. | 2. Remove the chain. | 3. Remove both camshaft. | 4. In order to facilitate the dismantling of the head is recommended to remove both of the collector (see. Subsection 6.1.12 and subsection 6.1.13). | 5. Remove the front exhaust pipe from a collector. | 6. Remove the air filter (see. Subsection 6.1.2). | 7. On gasoline engines, do the following work:
- Disconnect from the fuel pump fuel hoses; - Disconnect the accelerator cable; - Disconnect the wiring from the carburettor; - Disconnect the hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes, cooling system, exhaust gases inside the crankcase and other hoses from the corresponding valves and pipes of the cylinder head; - Remove the rack intake manifold; - On vehicles equipped with a catalytic converter, disconnect the connector from the oxygen sensor. | 8. injection engines perform the following work:
- Follow activities decompression fuel system and disconnect it from the fuel rail fuel hoses; - Disconnect the accelerator cable; - Disconnect the wiring from the chamber throttle intake manifold and other parts and components; - Disconnect the hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes, cooling system, exhaust gases inside the crankcase and other hoses from the corresponding valves and pipes of the cylinder head; - Remove the rack manifold; - On vehicles equipped with a catalytic converter, disconnect the connector from the exhaust gas sensor. | 9. Disconnect the cylinder head cooling system hoses. | 10. Remove the M6 screw in the left front corner of the cylinder head. | 11. Working in the reverse order shown in Fig. A sequence of tightening the cylinder head bolts, loosen all ten basic cylinder head bolts. Loosen the bolts in several stages, 1/2 turn for the reception, until bolts not begin to turn away from the hand. | 12. Remove the bolts and washers, drawing attention to their orientation. | 13. Working together, remove the cylinder head gasket, dowel pins and an oil injector (if the injector pins and landing weakened). | 14. If the head is disassembled for overhaul, refer to the description in section 3.1.2.6. |
|
Preparing for the Build PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check the threads of the cylinder head bolts, regardless of the cause removal of a head. Bolts recommended to change each time the cylinder head. | 2. Clear demountable surfaces of a head and the block of closing all openings to prevent dirt from entering. The gaps in the piston seal the grease, which is then removed. | 3. Check for damage on the split surface of the head and cylinder block (deep scratches, chips, etc..). Minor damage to the needle files are removed, serious damage removed only by grinding. | 4. Check the surface deformation of the detachable head and the block. |
|
Setting PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Wipe the surface of the detachable head and the cylinder. Make sure you have the guide pins on both sides of the plane of the cylinder block and insert the oil nozzle in the center of the unit. | 2. Put on the block of cylinders a new lining, aligning the holes in the gasket with the pins and the oil nozzle. | 3. With an assistant, carefully install the cylinder head on the block, aligning the head with the guide pins. | 4. Grease the threads and bottom of the bolt heads with clean oil. | 5. Put a washer on the bolts so that the conical surface of the washer facing the bolt head. | 6. Carefully insert the bolts into the holes in the head (not to drop screws) and tighten them by hand. | 1-10 7. Tighten cylinder head in this order (see. Fig. Sequence of tightening the cylinder head bolts) with a torque of the 1st phase of tightening. Bolts 11-15 M6 threaded do not tighten. | 8. Tighten the bolts to the 2nd stage. | 9. After a minute and release the bolts in sequence of return specified in fig. Sequence of tightening the cylinder head bolts. Loosen gradually, 1/2 turn for the reception, until bolts not begin to turn away from the hand. | 10. By following the sequence, tighten the bolts to the 3rd stage of the tightening. | 11. Tighten the screws on the corner of 4th stage of tightening or tighten the torque wrench to the 4th stage. | 12. By following the sequence, tighten the screws M6 (11-15 bolts) to the specified torque. | 13. Connect the cooling hoses. | 14. Perform the following steps:
- Starred, attach the wiring, hoses and cables on the intake manifold; - Attach the throttle cable; - Attach the front exhaust pipe, the exhaust gas sensor connector (if available); - Set the air filter and the air duct. | 15. Install the camshafts (see. Subsection 3.1.1.10). | 16. Install the chain and sprocket. | A warning If overhauled cylinder head before installing the cylinder head cover, check clearances in valves on the cold engine (see. Subsection 3.1.1.9).
| 17. Start the engine and warm. Check valve clearances on a warm engine (see. Subsection 3.1.1.9). |
