PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the air filter housing (see. Subsection 6.3.1.2).
3. Squeeze the retaining clips and disconnect sockets of connection from the throttle potentiometer, the additional air valve, air flow sensor and the injector wires.
4. Also disconnect the connector connecting the heating element mounted between the throttle body and intake manifold.
5. Release the pressure from the fuel system (see. Subsection 6.3.1.7).
6. Then release fixing collars and disconnect the fuel hose and the hose of the return pipe from the throttle body.
7. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle cam on the throttle body, then loosen the locknut and the adjusting nut and remove the cable sheath from the mounting bracket.
8. On models with automatic transmission disconnect the cable downshift.
9. Release fixing clamps, then disconnect water hoses behind the throttle body hose and plug the hole. Do it quickly in order to minimize the loss of coolant.
10. Remember or mark position of installation of the vacuum and air hoses to connect them correctly when installing the throttle body, then, release fixing collars (where fitted) and disconnect the hoses from the throttle body.
11. Unscrew and remove the mounting screws that hold the throttle body to the intake manifold, and remove the throttle body from the car.
12. Remove the heating element.
13. Plug the intake manifold opening with a clean cloth so that it no dirt or foreign objects.
14. If necessary, after removal of the throttle body, remove the screws and separate the upper and lower sections.
15. Remove the gasket installed between them.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
2. Installation should pay attention to the following points.
3. If necessary, make sure that the mating surfaces of the upper and lower sections of the throttle body are clean and dry, then set a new gasket and assemble the sections securely tighten the mounting screws.
4. Before installing, make sure that the mating surfaces of the throttle body, intake manifold and the heating element are clean and neat.
5. Set the throttle body and the heating element on the intake manifold.
6. Diagonally tighten the fixing bolts to the required torque Step B 1, then tighten them to the proper torque Step B 2.
7. Ensure that all the hoses have been correctly installed and, if necessary, secure them with cable ties.
8. When installation is complete, adjust the accelerator cable (see.
9. On models with automatic transmission downshift adjust cable (see para.
