Dismantling the cylinder head

The cylinder head, camshaft and valve train

1 - exhaust valve;
2 - inlet valve;
3 - installation;
4 - a spring inside the valve;
5 - the valve spring outdoor;
6 - a spring plate valve;
7 - the valve tappet;
8 - an adjusting washer;
9 - camshaft;
10 - a cover of the bearing,
11 - key;
12 - a cogwheel of a cam;
13 - washer;
14 - bolt gear;
15 - crackers of the valve;
16 - the valve stem seal;
17 - a washer supporting the valve springs;
18 - sleeve valve guide;
19 - cylinder head;
20 - camshaft oil seal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the inlet pipe and the exhaust manifold, if not previously removed when removing the cylinder head from the engine.
2. Remove the bolt 14 (see. Fig. The cylinder head, camshaft and valve train), remove gear 12 and remove the key 11.
3. Unscrew the nuts 10 caps bearing number 5, 1 and 3, starting from the camshaft drive belt. Bearing caps are numbered, but can be applied to these labels, if the numbers are visible. Remove bearing caps.
4. Loosen and evenly on the diagonal, loosen the nut bearing cap number 2 and 4. Remove the bearing caps.
5. Remove the camshaft 9.
6. Remove the gland 20.
7. Remove the valve tappets 7, after marking them in order to install the assembly into place. On engines of models EZ and GU with January 1985 set hydropushers valves. Top notch in the pusher 7 is installed shim 8. Shims must not be mixed, each washer should remain in place.
8. The special adaptation to compress springs 5 and 4 valves and remove crackers 15.
9. By loosening the pressure on the lever device, release the valve spring. Remove the tool.
10. Remove the plate 6 and to take out the spring 4 and 5.
11. Remove the valve stem seal 16 and thrust washer 17, placing pre-anything in the combustion chamber to prevent loss of the valve.
12. Remove the valve from the combustion chamber, marking it to install the assembly in the same place. Likewise, other valves removed.

Check and repair of a head of the block and its details

Check and repair of a head of the block and its details are similar to the verification and repair head engines working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l (see. Subsection 2.2.1.3).

Different data are shown below.

The height of the cylinder head

The height of the cylinder head - 132.6 mm.

The distance between the end of the valve stem and the top plane of the cylinder head

The size of "a":

for intake valves - 33.8 mm;

exhaust valves - 34.1 mm.

Dimensions of valve seats

and - an outer diameter of the valve seat;

b - the distance from the surface of the cylinder head to the outer diameter of the seat;
