The connecting rod-piston group



The connecting rod-piston group is removed and dismantled as well as in engines working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l (see. Subsection 2.2.1.12).

Inspection, testing and repairs are the same as at engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3, but please note that the maximum allowable clearance between the piston and the cylinder is 0.07 mm.

Assembling the connecting rod and piston is made in the same way as in engines working volume of 1,1 and 1,3. The depth of the recess in the piston crown (see. Fig. Dimensions of the recess in the piston crown) of the engine of 1.6 L - 2.2 mm, 1.8 liter engine - 4.4 mm.
