Removal and dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cylinder head, oil sump and the oil pump.
2. Mark each crank and cover a number of the cylinder.
3. Rotate the crankshaft so that the piston of the first cylinder rose to the position BDC.
4. Loosen the nuts and remove the cover of the connecting rod 11 (see. Fig. Crankshaft and parts of connecting rod and piston). Remove from the cover 11 of the bearing liner 2, noting his pre-position the lid.
5. Remove piston rod from the cylinder. Likewise, to remove the remaining pistons with connecting rods.
6. Remove the 2 bearing inserts from bottom heads of rods, pre-marking of their position.
7. Remove the retaining ring 8 and the heating of the piston in hot water (60 ? C), using fingers to push the mandrel 4.
8. A stripper piston rings stay rings 5 and 6 with the pistons.

Inspection, testing and repair parts connecting rod and piston group

Measuring the piston ring side clearance

Filing ends of piston rings

All parts connecting rod and piston after dismantling to clean and wash with gasoline. Inspect the pistons. If there are signs of wear, deep scratches, burnout, replace pistons. Micrometer to measure the diameter of the piston skirt at a distance of 10 mm from the bottom edge of the skirt, perpendicular to the axis of the piston pin. If the measured diameter is different from the nominal 0.04 mm, the piston must be replaced. Measure the lateral gap between the piston ring grooves and on the piston, as shown in Fig. Measurement of backlash of the piston ring. If the clearance is greater than 0.15 mm, the piston rings or replaced. Measure the end gap of the piston ring. For this insert ring into the cylinder from the crankcase, and the promotion of the piston as a mandrel for a distance of 15 mm from the base of the cylinder. Probe to measure the end gap. If the gap exceeds 1.0 mm, the ring be replaced. If the end gap is less than 0.3 mm, compression rings and 0.25 mm - for the valve stem, the ends of the rings can be sawed with a file clamped in the vise, as shown in Fig. Filing ends of the piston rings.

Check the fit of the piston pin in the connecting rod. To do this, install the connecting rod horizontally and insert a finger into the head of the connecting rod. The finger should not slide out of the head by its own weight. If the finger is put forward, or falls, it is necessary to replace the pin and connecting rod bushing. Press out the old and press in the new bushing into the head of a rod, then drill a hole in the sleeve for the supply of oil through the hole in the head of a rod. Then drill a hole under the scan size of the new thumb to withstand the mounting gap within 0,004-0,01 mm. The connecting rod should rotate freely on the finger. Otherwise push finger through the sleeve and in those places where finger prints were gently abraded sleeve. Then again check the ease of rotation of the connecting rod on a finger. Check for marking plate alignment holes of the upper and lower heads of the connecting rod and, if necessary, to straighten the connecting rod.

The circuit measuring the diameter of the cylinder

A, B - measuring direction;

1, 2, 3 - waist measurement

Check the clearance between the piston and the cylinder. If it exceeds 0.12 mm, chisel and othoningovat cylinders under the repair size. You need to chisel all four cylinders, even if the gap is greater than the specified only one. After boring the cylinders set oversize pistons. The clearance between the piston and the cylinder is calculated as the difference between the cylinder diameter and piston diameter. Measurement of the diameter of the piston described above in the same paragafe. Bore caliper measured at six points, 10 mm from the bottom of the cylinder, 10 mm from the upper edge and in the middle in two perpendicular directions, as shown in Fig. Scheme diameter measuring cylinder. If the wear of the cylinder nominal size greater than 0.04 mm, the cylinders must also be chiseled under the repair size.

The label on the piston crown and the tides on the connecting rod and connecting rod cap

Installation of the piston into the cylinder

1 - a collar compressing the piston rings;

2 - handle hammer;

3 - the piston

Pistons different engine models differ in size of the recess in the piston crown. The dimensions of the recess shown in Fig. The size of the recess in the piston crown. In addition, the engines produced between September 1985 and reduced hole cylinders in the head gasket. At the head of the piston has a chamfer to avoid hitting the edge of the piston seal. Before assembly, replace the connecting rod bolts.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Heat the piston 7 (see. Fig. Crankshaft and parts of connecting rod and piston), lowering it a few minutes in water with a temperature of 60 ? C.
2. Insert the hot piston rod 10 so that the arrow on the piston crown and the tide on a rod, as shown by arrows in Fig. Mark on the head of the piston and connecting rod on the tides and the connecting rod cap were directed to one side. Insert a finger 4 with a mandrel.
3. Insert the lock ring in place 8. Check ease of rotation of the piston on the connecting rod.
4. A stripper piston ring set rings 5 and 6 on the piston. Before installing the new rings to measure the end gap of each ring (see. On the rings engraved with the word "TOP", set the ring this word to the piston head. Piston rings evenly distributed at an angle of 120 ? to each other.
5. Turn the crankshaft in a position where the crank was the first cylinder to the bottom.
6. Grease pistons and piston rings with engine oil. On the connecting rod bolts to wear short lengths of rubber hose, you do not accidentally damage the cylinder bore.
7. Wear collar on the piston rings 1 (see. Fig. Installation of the piston into the cylinder), compress it, by inserting the connecting rod to the piston in the cylinder, and light hammer blows handle 2 to push the piston into the cylinder, wherein the clamp 1 has to be pressed to a block, otherwise you can break the piston rings.
8. Pistons with rods to be inserted into the cylinders so that the arrow on the piston crown and the tide on the connecting rod shown in Fig. Mark on the head of the piston and connecting rod on the tides and the connecting rod cap, were directed towards the camshaft drive belt. When the piston is inserted into the cylinder, it can not be rotated.
9. Remove the connecting rod bolt cutter rubber hoses.
10. Insert according to the marks made during disassembly, the bottom head of a rod liner 2 (see. Fig. Crankshaft and parts of connecting rod and piston group) so that the locking protrusion of the liner went into recess crosshead. Liberally grease the liner engine oil. Slide the piston down so that the bottom head of a rod sat down on the neck of the crank of the crankshaft.
11. Insert the insert 2 into the cover 11 of the connecting rod in accordance with the marks made during disassembly. When the locking protrusion of the liner must enter into the recess of the lid. Liberally grease the pads with engine oil.
12. Install the connecting rod cap to the connecting rod bolts in accordance with the labels put at dismantling. Infusion of the cover shown in Fig. The label on the piston crown and flows on the connecting rod and connecting rod cover, should be from drive belt camshaft as well as on the rod.
13. Lubricate place fit the screws on the lids, wrap the nuts connecting rod bolts and tighten evenly in two stages:
- Stage 1 - the moment 30 Nm (3.0 kgf-m);
- Stage 2 - tighten a further quarter turn (90 ?).
14. Rotate the crankshaft to ensure that it is easy to rotate.
15. Measure the probe rod axial clearance between the underside of the connecting rod and crankshaft cheek. It should be within 0,05-0,31 mm. Maximum permissible backlash of 0.37 mm.
16. Likewise, other set of pistons with rods.
