| 1. Check the pressure plate clutch (check the place indicated by arrows). Traces generate at the ends of the compression spring must be not more than 0.3 mm. |
2. Check the spring connection between the pressure plate and the housing leading part of coupling. It is not allowed for scratches and missing or damaged rivets. |
| 3. Check the pressure plate for cracks, metal penetration and wear surfaces. Using a steel ruler and the blade of the probe, check the flatness of the working surface of a press disk. Nonflatness press disk should not exceed 0.2 mm. |
4. Check the condition of the friction surface of the flywheel for cracks, metal penetration and wear surfaces. |
5. Check the condition of the friction linings and the clutch disc in the presence with them of traces of oil or mechanical damages replace a coupling disk. |
6. Measure the thickness clutch. If the thickness of less admissible or if heads of rivets are close to the work surface, or replace the clutch disc. |
7. Check the clutch disc runout, which is at a distance of 2.5 mm from the outer diameter shall be not more than 0.8 mm. |
8. Check the release bearing which should rotate easily, smoothly and quietly, it should no longer play. |
| 9. The working surface of the bearing influencing a press spring should be smooth, without cracks, local corrosion or development (the arrows indicate the direction in which you want to check the status of the release bearing). |
10. Defective release bearing can be determined without removing it from the car, which requires the engine is running, press the clutch pedal. If the clutch pedal is pressed, an additional noise, means the release bearing is defective and should be replaced. |
