Removing the fuel tank is made from under the car. To support the fuel tank using a jack.

Even in an empty fuel tank contains fuel vapors that are explosive, so be careful.

After installing the fuel tank, run the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.

The fuel pump / fuel level sensor

On models with petrol engines the fuel pump with fuel level sensor installed in the fuel tank. By design, the fuel level sensor consists of a potentiometer and the associated float. By reducing the amount of fuel drops and the float sensor, increasing the resistance of the potentiometer reduces the voltage at the fuel level indicator located in the instrument cluster.
